I am in school for x-ray technology and have my clinical rotations full time during the summer Monday through Friday. I’m happy to sit overnights or on a visiting basis (popping in for playtime, food and water and walks but not staying there). I can accommodate weekend needs for clients in the Valley.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment with a 55 gallon freshwater fish tank, my cats and my dog Ellie, who is an 8 year old pug mix. One of my cats, Odin, has chronic anemia requiring medication twice a day. My roommate is luckily able to provide this when I’m gone, and I’m comfortable caring for pets that do have medical concerns. Safety is my number one priority. When caring for homes I always make sure that the door is locked and any hazards are put out of reach of pets. I have basic pet first aid experience and knowledge of where many vets are located in the valley and Anchorage.
Information Freya H. would like to know about your pet
I appreciate any specifics regarding location of emergency supplies and veterinarians that the pet sees, in addition to any information regarding current medical needs if applicable.
A typical day
My favorite fun activity I recently did with a dog I sat was a treat hunt where I hid a bunch of her favorite treats around the house and she found them. She had a great time and was so sleepy after! I also enjoy throwing the ball or playing hide and seek with the more active dogs I sit for or cuddling with my more elderly or snuggly pets.

Pet care experience
Hello! I have taken care of dogs, cats, fish and small animals for about twelve years now. I have a degree in marine biology, as well as professional experience at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada and our own local animal shelter. I’m happy to take care of tank maintenance for anyone needing a helping hand with that in addition to pet sitting! As for four legged friends, I have my own dog (Ellie, pug mix) and have grown up around them all my life. I am comfortable with large and small breeds and those with medical concerns. I have a cat with a chronic medical condition that previously required medication twice a day so I am familiar with taking care of ill animals and some basic veterinary first aid. Thanks so much, I hope to hear from you soon!

Freya was great! Super easy to work with, great communication and my dog did great with her. Will be booking again! Thank you!

Our second time booking with Freya and she did an amazing job! I love having peace of mind and not worrying about the dogs when away. Will continue to book with her!

Freya was a wonderful sitter for our two dogs and three cats. She was communicative and sent us photo updates.

Freya was great with my two pups! She is excellent at communicating and providing updates. Our dogs were well taken care of and I didn’t have to worry once when being away. Will be booking again!
