Love and snuggles for the fur kids
I've loved animals since I was very small, and always had a dog growing up. My beautiful girl Cookie (shown in profile picture) was the love of my life, who also had some special needs due to her previous traumas, so we worked closely with rescue specialist trainers to help ease her worries. I've discovered over time that for some reason, even the most anxious of dogs feel safe and content with me, which I find heartwarming and motivating to continue showering these beautiful souls with love. It also brings me great satisfaction to provide trustworthy support to their parents, something I found difficult to find and valued greatly when I had it. I have been fostering and pet sitting both dogs and cats for many years, and find it really rewarding getting to know all the funny little personalities these adorable creatures have. I'm very happy to take it slow with nervous souls, building trust gradually. I approach all new pets with warmth and gentle enthusiasm. Personally I've also had rabbits, guinea pigs, fish and turtles, and am great with plants too, so am very happy and capable to take care of any additional needs you may have in the home.

I am a relaxed and tidy person, who prefers to clean as I go and keep things calm and comfortable. Having previously had a dog with special needs, I am meticulous with following instructions, as you know them best, and I understand what an impact even subtle changes to routines can have for some animals. Similarly, I spoil them within your preferred thresholds too. If they're not allowed on the couch or bed, they will never be on the couch or bed with me. I do enjoy spoiling them rotten, as all good baby sitters should! I want my stay to be a happy, safe and loving experience for your pet, to help ease the sting of missing you. I also like to provide regular photo updates, so you know how happy your pet is, and can relax knowing they're well taken care of - again as per your preference.

We couldn’t recommend Freya enough! She was incredibly attentive, reliable, and on top of every detail from start to finish. She was always on time, very communicative, and sent us photos and updates every day, which made us feel completely at ease while we were away from our cats. We had a slightly more complicated situation this time because we had just brought home a new cat and had some very specific instructions around their routines and care. Freya handled everything flawlessly and clearly took the time to understand exactly what we needed. We came home feeling like both cats had been exceptionally well cared for. Most importantly, Freya is someone we felt we could completely trust in our home and with our pets. Knowing they were in such capable, caring hands allowed us to actually relax and enjoy our trip. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter.

Freya was extremely thorough and caring when taking care of Bert. In addition to taking him on wonderful park adventures, she was able to provide Bertie his daily medicine and lots of love and compansionship throughout the day. Bert and I would love to work with Freya again!
This was our third time hiring Freya. Always on time, responsible, and charming with Olivia. Sent pictures daily of her stay with her. Definitely our first choice if we travel to NY.
Freya is outstanding. She was so kind and lovely with Elvis, our very old labradoodle, and he and we loved her. Freya is truly the best, responsible, reliable, and great with Elvis and we all hope to see her again.
Freya was great with Bitzie, gave her a nice long walk while I had to step out. She communicates clearly and very thoughtful about organizing meetings up, drop off and pick up. Though I had a snafu with my appointment and ran late for pickup , Freya extended patience and made sure we had a warm handoff before she met her next client. Thanks so much for your attention and time to Bitzie!

Schedule
I've moved to New York from Australia in November 2022, and have been dog walking and pet sitting full time ever since. I have dogs I walk everyday, and other pets I visit regularly, but I'm able to spend most of my time with the fur babies in my care.
