Because I work from home and live alone, your dog becomes my primary companion and the heartbeat of my home. My daily routine is perfectly suited for a pet who thrives on consistency and attention. We start each morning with breakfast and a potty break in the large fenced-in backyard before I settle in for work. While I am at my desk, your dog is welcome to nap in my office or relax at my feet, enjoying a calm and quiet environment. I make it a point to step away from my screen for several breaks throughout the day, which provides the perfect opportunity for us to head outside for fresh air and supervised playtime in the yard. Once I log off for the evening, we head out for a long walk to wind down and get some exercise. My weekends are dedicated to trail walking, and I love having a furry friend join me for these longer outdoor adventures. Since I don't have other pets or children, your dog will truly be the centerpiece of my day and will fit right into my active lifestyle.

Safety, trust & environment
Since I work from home and live alone, I provide a quiet, low-stress environment where your dog is the sole focus of my attention. My day is built around companionship—your dog can lounge in my office while I work, and we take frequent breaks to play in my large, fully fenced-in backyard. I strictly follow your existing feeding and medication schedule to keep their routine as normal as possible. Because I am active, they will enjoy a long evening walk every day and the option for trail adventures on the weekends.

Information Fred B. would like to know about your pet
I will ask about their potty schedule and how they handle being alone while I step out for a run. Since I am active, I need to know how they behave on a leash and if they have experience on trails or around bikes. I will also confirm if they try to jump fences and discuss any food allergies or medical needs before the stay begins.
A typical day
As a remote school teacher, my day is structured around frequent breaks for fresh air and activity. I typically step away for an hour at lunch for personal time, ensuring your pet gets plenty of midday attention and backyard play. After work, I maintain an active lifestyle by running between three and seven miles; if I am not running, I am out walking or hiking. My weekends are dedicated to the outdoors, whether I am hiking Hogsback with friends or out on the trails for seasonal biking. Your pet will fit right into this energetic routine, enjoying a mix of quiet companionship during my work hours and plenty of movement throughout the rest of the day.

Pet care experience
You can enjoy complete peace of mind knowing your dog is receiving dedicated, one-on-one care in my home. Since I don’t currently have any pets of my own, your dog will be my sole focus, ensuring they feel safe, welcome, and active. I have a large, fully fenced-in backyard that provides plenty of room for supervised play and exercise. Because I work remotely, your pet will have constant companionship and the freedom to enjoy the yard throughout the day. Having previously owned a Golden Retriever and two mixed-breed rescues, I am experienced in caring for different personalities and activity levels.

Took excellent care of my dog while I was out of town! Would recommend him to anyone

Very caring and open to communication while he was taking care of my dog!
Fred took great care of our Aussie and kept me updated on how he was doing every day. I could tell our dog liked him right away and felt good about leaving him with Fred.

Fred was the perfect sitter for Poppy. Fred suggested a meet and greet prior to our time away to make sure we would all be comfortable with this arrangement which went great. While we were away, Fred kept her busy with walks every day and was able to arrange for a play date with a couple of other dogs he knew. The backyard is great for pups and he’s got a chain out front if the dogs are up for that. His place is set up with a couple of couches and a front window for people (or squirrel) watching. We are confident that our dog was very well cared for while we were away and would gladly ask Fred to care for Poppy in the future.
