’m available for dog walks and pet visits at weekends and throughout school holidays. As a primary school teacher, this gives me extended availability during half terms, Christmas, Easter, and the summer holidays, allowing for flexible daytime bookings as well as regular weekend support. I’m happy to offer one-off visits or consistent scheduled walks during these times, providing reliable and caring support when owners may need it most.

When caring for dogs on walks, their safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I ensure each walk is suited to the dog’s age, breed, and energy level, providing the right balance of exercise, stimulation, and routine. During home visits, I make sure dogs feel comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. I follow all owner instructions carefully — whether that includes feeding, refreshing water, administering basic care, playtime, or simply offering companionship and reassurance. Having cared for animals my entire life, I understand how important consistency and trust are, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.

It’s also essential to be aware of medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, or medications, as well as any behavioural traits such as nervousness around other dogs, recall reliability, or triggers to avoid. I’ll ask about their usual walking routes, feeding schedule, house rules, and any training commands they respond to. Emergency contact details and vet information are also important for peace of mind. The more I know in advance, the better I can ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for exactly as you would at home
A typical day
I love making sure pets have fun as well as feel safe and cared for! On walks, I’ll tailor activities to each dog’s personality and energy level — whether that’s energetic games of fetch, gentle nature walks with plenty of sniffing time, or practicing basic commands for mental stimulation. I can incorporate short, positive training moments to keep their minds active and build confidence. During home visits, fun might include interactive play with their favourite toys, puzzle games for enrichment, tug, hide-and-seek with treats (if permitted), or simply lots of fuss and attention for dogs who prefer cuddles over chaos. My goal is always to make our time together enjoyable, stimulating, and suited to what makes each individual pet happiest.

would make an excellent dog walker because I’ve spent my entire life — 37 years — caring for dogs, cats, and a wide range of other animals. Growing up with pets has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior, patience, and the importance of consistent, loving care. As a primary school teacher, I’m naturally responsible, trustworthy, and highly organised, with strong awareness of safety and routine. My experience working with children has strengthened my calm, positive approach — qualities that transfer perfectly to working with animals of all temperaments. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every dog feels happy, secure, and well-exercised

Having been on doggy walks myself both with my family dogs, and with her own, along with Francesca, and seeing first hand just how patient and loving she is with them, I would absolutely rest assured that any pet would be in the most caring and capable hands.
Francesca has looked after our nervous dog that suffers from separation anxiety. She happily goes for a walk with her and is always well cared for. Francesca has also dog sat in our home if we have had an evening out and we come home to a calm and happy dog. Would highly recommend
