Hi, I’m Francesca! I have always loved animals, and my freelance pet sitting business has given me so much joy. One of my goals is to facilitate adoptions at animal shelters or get involved with assistance/therapy dog work, so taking care of animals is very meaningful to me. I have a part time job at a clinic for children with autism, and alongside this, I want to keep caring for pets. This summer, my family will be around and they also love to help out! When I was about seven, my family adopted a border collie mix from a shelter. I thought of her like a sister. A couple years ago, we had to put her to sleep. It was heartbreaking. Caring for other pets has helped me cope with my loss, and I give them so much love. Each animal is special, and I really do become friends with each of them. Growing up, (aside from looking after dogs) I took care of our neighbor's cat, as well as the rabbits and guinea pigs that my mother's school had. In my last year of college, I lived with a cat! My boyfriend and I just got a pygmy bearded dragon, but we have no other pets. When I started using pet sitting platforms, I met so many amazing dogs and cats in both Europe and America. I have cared for a wide variety of pets with varying personalities and needs. The families of these pets have been from all over, so I have even learned some commands in other languages. I'm always checking on the animals and making sure they feel comfortable. I never leave them alone for too long and I always remove any hazardous items from the house. Whether I'm at your house or walking your dog, communication is important! I will send you photos and updates and you can give me special instructions for your pet.
