Experienced WFH dog owners 🐕
We’re Maddie, Frankie and Cory – our 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier. Between us, we’ve had dogs our whole lives and have experience with all sorts of breeds and personalities. Frankie has looked after everything from Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to five German Shepherds, while Maddie grew up around Labradors, cats, donkeys, geese... and plenty more. We’ve also spent years looking after friends’ and family’s dogs and enjoy having them in our home. We’re based in Hythe in a semi-detached house with a fully secure outdoor space, and offer both day sitting and overnight stays. We both work from home full-time during the week, so your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of company throughout the day. We’re lucky to have lots of good walking spots nearby, from the canal and seafront to longer countryside walks a short drive away. We’re happy to adapt walks to whatever suits your dog, whether that’s a gentle stroll or something a bit more energetic. Cory is our resident host. He’s 8, very laid-back and generally more interested in finding a comfortable spot for a nap than causing any trouble. He’s friendly with other dogs but is also happy to give them space if that’s what they prefer. We know every dog has their own routine and personality, so we’ll take the time to understand what works for them and keep things as familiar as possible while they’re with us. We’re also happy to send regular photos and videos so you can see how they’re getting on.

Frankie and Maddie have looked after our little rescue dog Chester and we trust them completely. They’re both kind, caring, patient and total dog people, which Chester worked out pretty much immediately. We always know he’s safe, happy and thoroughly spoilt with them, and judging by how pleased he is to see them, we’re fairly sure they’re higher up his favourites list than we are. They’re genuinely lovely humans and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
We couldn’t recommend them enough! They were absolutely brilliant with our dog and made us feel completely at ease leaving him in their care. They were friendly, reliable and clearly really love animals. Our dog was happy, relaxed and very well looked after, and we really appreciated the little pupdates while we were away. It’s such a relief finding someone you can genuinely trust with your dog, and we’d have no hesitation booking with them again. Thank you so much!

Schedule
We both currently work from home, so we have plenty of flexibility to give your dog lots of attention and exercise throughout the day. We usually take our own dog for long walks before work, during lunch and again at the end of the day. We also regularly take our dog with us for coffees, lunches, dinners and the pub, so if your dog is friendly and comfortable in those settings, we're very happy to include them in our plans too.

Safety, trust & environment
It can be hard leaving your dog with someone else, especially when they’re away from their usual home and routine. We know this from experience, so we always think about how we’d want our own dog to be treated. For us, it’s about creating a calm and relaxed environment, with plenty of opportunities for long naps in the sun by our bay window, as well as enriching walks along the canal and seafront. We have a fenced courtyard garden, so dogs can go outside whenever they need to, and a big, comfy sofa for settling down and watching TV in the evening. We also have plenty of space and are happy to accommodate a crate if that’s something your dog is used to and would help them feel more at home.
