Large family home by forest walks
I have been in love with dogs since a young age, where I adopted a jack russell/rottweiler mix that became my best friend throughout my teenage years. We now have a large male golden retriever who is 6 years old, Kivu. We have a family with two young kids who love dogs. I wish we could offer Kivu a second dog companion but can't afford it at this stage, but would be very happy to have a boarder so he gets some social time. We walk 3-4 times a day, 2 of which are off lead in beautiful paths in the forest. We have a river close by with trails as well in Great Elm for those who love swimming l. We were really into dog training and did beginner gundog obedience with ours. We have treats at home and can work with dogs off lead if they're trained. Our dogs sleep downstaurs - we have a large house with two living rooms so they can be separated if they'd rather some time alone. Any dog we host needs to be kind to young kids and ok with a very friendly, albeit large, dog. Kivu is unneutered and gets along with the vast majority of other dogs, even males and unneutered. It is worth checking whether they will get along if your dog is also an equally sized male of a similar age.

Francesca was an exceptional host, with frequent communication, and lots of photos of Tarka while we were away, which was very appreciated. Tarka seemed very happy to spend her holiday with Francesca, her family, and Kivu their majestic retriever. (What a gorgeous boy!) Thank you for providing such a reassuring experience for our first time using Rover.. 😀!
Francesca was amazing with our dog Gnocchi and went out of her way to ensure she was comfortable and happy throughout her stay. Great communication and took on the request at short notice which really helped us out. Would highly recommend.
Francesca and family were amazing. They went over and beyond in terms of care and included Betty on their camping weekend. Betty came home relaxed but tired after bondung well with the whole family and having an amazing seaside experience I was keot up to date with messages and photos. I felt confident that Betty was being well cared for, was having fun and enjoying a home from home experience. I can't recommend Francesca highly enough and would love Betty to go again

Francesca communicated clearly throughout the time she looked after Fia, and asked for advice when she was a little unsettled. We received regular photos and videos of Fia and their dog playing :) It seems the two dogs had a great time together, and the family took Fia out with them on their trips including her which we’re grateful for! Thank you!
We booked Francesca to look after our Working Cocker Marble for a couple of days. She welcomed us into her home, we had a meet and greet, bit of walk with our dogs to settle them both. We had regular updates over the next two days and couldn’t be happier with the environment and care given. Would highly recommend.
