Through the week, I work from home and at times in the community, but my flexibility can allow me to meet the scheduling needs of a pet parent when planned in advance. I don't mind last minute scheduling, since as we know life happens, if I am able to accommodate. Most importantly, I can be present and attentive to provide positive interaction, care and playtime for your fur baby.

About frances v.
Safety, trust & environment
I am situated in a rural setting on several acres with a large amount of groomed yard and acreage away from the road. The main floor of my home is open for free roam. I offer a soft crate that remains open, to provide comfort and security if your pet has anxiety about being somewhere other than home and if you would like to make it available to your baby. My home is quiet and calm where they will have a great place to relax and carry on at their own pace.

Information frances v. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know about their personality. Please advise if any medications are to be given along with specifics as well as any special needs. Do they suffer from separation anxiety? Send along their security blanket or fav toy. Are they protective of their space, food and toys? How are they with other pets? If there are any behaviour issues, not a problem; being transparent and knowing the best way to handle any triggers or proximities will provide the best experience for your pet with the least amount of stress. Do you use key words for simple actions or to get their attention or use hand signals. These skills are very important to share so that your pet is understood and their needs are met. Any tips and tricks are welcomed!
A typical day
Our days start off with a morning stretch of the legs and duty time! If your pet requires or is accustomed to outside play first thing in the morning, just say the word. The amount of time outside is purely weather dependent. There is shade during the warmer weather and a small doggie pool/sprinkler/hose for water play if that's what they enjoy along with throwing the frisbee or ball. If chasing one of these is not their thing, I will always figure it out with your help. I enjoy being outdoors so whether they're playing or snoozing, we are always getting fresh air! With lots of room to run; they are sure to get their energy out. Inside I provide a calm and holistic environment where they can sleep when they want, bathroom breaks when they need it and when they are ready to play on those rainy days or super frigid temps - they've got it!

Pet care experience
Located just 8 minutes north of Chelmsford; I have a lifetime of experience starting as a child on our farm with a variety of our four-legged friends including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs/hamsters (and some 2 legged friends - ducks & geese!) There has rarely been a time that we did not have animals in our home. I have and have had personal experience with 5 of our own canine seniors spanning over 35 yrs developing patience and empathy and adjusting to their stages of life throughout their lives. I am experienced with administration of medication, blindness, mobility restrictions and post-surgery care. In addition, I have Pet First Aid through Cdn Red Cross. In prior years, I have completed varying levels of obedience classes with all of our dogs as well as reactive training through the Sudbury Kennel Club with my GSD in his younger years. I carry those learnings and teachings in our daily interactions with all our pets to provide structure and a socially well behaved pet.
Reviews
As soon as the dogs realize where they’re going, they’re excited every time and always come home happier than ever. Fran is also incredible with older animals, an when our 15 year old german shepherd is with her, she follows and the specific instructions of care and medication schedules to a T.
