Fran works from home most of the time and is able to fit walks in around work. Mike is available to help during the evenings and at weekends and we tend to spend most of our spare time walking.

We have a fenced garden. Fran has working dogs and we currently have one We have lots of interactive dog toys and games and know many local areas for walks with large areas to run and rivers to play in. If you have any specific requests with regards to walks, let us know and we’d be happy to facilitate any special requests.

Information Frances M. would like to know about your pet
Please let us know if your dog has any special requirements. We can cater for most things but we need to know in advance if we need to make any special arrangements E.g.not to be let off lead etc. We are unable to take aggressive dogs. We will consider non-aggressive dogs that are reactive. We are not behaviour experts. Other dogs are out of our control and if your dog may react to dogs running up to them, we require them to be muzzle trained for us to consider looking after them. We can’t guarantee we won’t encounter other dogs that might run up to them as that is out of our control.
A typical day
We love to stimulate dogs both physically and mentally and have a good understanding of different dogs needs. The care we provide will be on a case by case basis as we understand no dog is the same. We will discuss what will be best for your dog with you.

Pet care experience
Fran is a qualified dog handler with animal first aid qualifications. She has experience with a number of different dogs and has trained rescues from puppy so has puppy experience. Fran works from home and is able to fit in walks and cuddles during breaks. At the weekends we are both normally out walking on Dartmoor or another nearby wood. When staying with us, we will treat your pet like our own. They will have full access to house and can sleep where they do at home to help them feel comfortable. We will send lots of updates for peace of mind. They will need to be dog friendly as we have a dog of our own. We can meet before we confirm to check they get along okay.

I left my 5month old puppy Louie with Frances to attend a family funeral. She took excellent care of Louie and communication before the booking and throughout the booking was great! He was a very happy puppy spending time with Frances, and she provided the best care for him during the heatwave. She even had a toy for him waiting and he seemed to prefer it from his toys! That was such a nice touch to know that my puppy was in good hands. She was also very respectful of our puppy rule: our puppy is a dachshund breed and is forbidden to go up/down the stairs and has to be picked up in a certain way. Frances was happy to accommodate our needs. I will definitely make another book with her in the future!
