Dogs have been one of the most important parts of my life for over twenty years, and being on Rover is my way of staying connected to that. I was a dog owner from 2001 until 2026. Our Beagle, Beans, was with us for 14.9 years — from 2001 to 2016. Beans was a super confident, super independent part lemonhead beagle we had at birth. He moved with us across 3 countries,  and 7 homes. If you know Beagles, they are hounds with minds of their own. It was all about him! He got to live in New York and spent his last year here in Jersey City. Then in 2016 we adopted Sammy, an impossibly fluffy Bichon/Pomeranian mix, at seven years old. We don't know his background but what we do know was that one day, he was dropped off at Shake-A-Paw, along with his pillow. He spent 3 months there, since most preferred a younger pup. He turned out to be the quirkiest, most loving dog who made it his mission to just be there for us. Walking alongside Sammy through his senior years — learning his rhythms, knowing when he needed a slower pace or a longer sniff, watching him light up at every person he met — taught me more about patience and presence than almost anything else in my life. We lost Sammy last New Year's Eve (2025), and he is missed everyday. What I know from those years is that every dog has a personality, a routine, and a way they like to be loved — and the job of a good sitter is to learn that quickly and honor it completely. I also know what it feels like to be on the other side, trusting someone else with your dog when you can't be there. That trust meant everything to us, and I want to offer that same peace of mind to you. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and day sitting. I'm attentive, reliable, and genuinely happiest when I'm around dogs. Your pet will be safe, comfortable, and well cared for — and honestly, spending time with them means as much to me as it does to them.
