I have cared for a variety of my own pets, and also watched others for friends, since the age of 11. Starting in 2020 I became a regular paid house-and-pet-sitter for a few friends, and grew a small network based on their recommending me to others. It’s been great spending time with these pets, primarily dogs, and now I am looking to get more work doing daily dog walking in San Francisco. My skills come from my personal experience and enthusiastic self-education, as well as a lot of time in my youth at educational programs provided by the SF SPCA. I also have experience on ranches and farms with horses and livestock animals, which is a definite asset to my confidence and competence. I truly love working with animals. I’ve gotten to know the dogs I watch well, including their unique quirks and needs, and I enjoy the challenging parts as well as the fun and cuddles. I believe firmly in positive reinforcement and that as the humans it is always our job to find the gentle and mindful response to any issue that arises.
