Nanny Biscuits
My Dalmatian, Jack went to the Rainbow Bridge 14 days before Christmas 2024. It broke me completely. I have had to say goodbye to many over the years, but there was something about Jack that left me reeling for months. Caring for a pet is one of life’s most rewarding responsibilities, offering unconditional love, companionship, joy and laughter. Pets are not just something that we own, they are part of our family and deserve all the love, respect and as much attention as possible. I am called Nanny Biscuits because all the dogs in my family know that I am going to give them loads of cuddles and doggy biscuits if they are allowed. I am aware that not all dogs are allowed to have treats for various reasons and I am very comfortable with that. Your wishes for your pet have to be respected. I have found that if I look after a pet in my home, it is good to have a blanket or item of clothing from you that has the familiar smell of you and the home the pet lives in. Comfort items boost emotional safety and comfort which every pet needs if they are in unfamiliar surroundings.

Fiona was great from start to finish! From the meet and great to looking after my dog at the weekend Incouldbt have asked for more! She genuinely cares about dogs and was absolutely great with her! She kept me updated whilst I was away, and when I collected my dog I could tell she was happy and relaxed! I would definitely recommend Fiona to anyone who needs a dog sitter and will defintely use her again ! Thank you Fiona!

10/10, highly recommend! Fiona replied very quickly, followed all our instructions, and gave our dog so much love. Meet and greet was great, she didn’t rush us, took the time to understand Gillie’s needs. By the end Gillie was sitting right next to Fiona which is very unusual for him to sit with new people. I left Gillie with Fiona for 6 hours, this was the first time he’s ever stayed with someone he doesn’t know on his own. We arrived and he went running in with his tail wagging, didn’t bat an eye lid when I left. On pick up he was happy to see me but I could see how comfortable he was being there, he wasn’t in a rush to leave which tells me everything I need to know.

Teddy had an amazing weekend and came home calm and settled. The meet and greet before his stay was also helpful in reassuring me that he would be left in safe hands. I will definitely be using this service again.

I am delighted to write this reference for Fiona, who I have known for over ten years as our dogs, her dalmatian Jack and my boxer cross Rodney, were best buddies. We have now both lost our dogs but since losing Jack, Fiona has provided pet sitting and walking services for me and other friends on several occasions. Fiona absolutely adores all animals and has a natural ability to connect with them. She has previously owned two dogs of her own, giving her hands-on experience and a deep understanding of animal care and behaviour. Fiona has also looked after my cat in my home while I have been away on holiday. She is trustworthy, attentive, dependable, and treats every pet as if they were her own. I always return to find my cat happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Fiona keeps me updated with messages and photos, which gives me complete peace of mind while I’m away. You truly couldn’t leave your fur babies in better hands. Fiona’s compassion, responsible nature, and genuine love for animals make her an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a trustworthy pet sitter or walker.
I can’t recommend her highly enough as a dog sitter. She looked after my dog overnight and was incredibly understanding of his anxieties, which immediately put me at ease. She kept me regularly updated, which I really appreciated, and followed my dog’s usual schedule perfectly. It was clear that she cared for him as if he were her own. In fact, when it was time for him to come home, he didn’t even want to leave, which says it all

I work full time, Monday - Friday. I work from home on a Monday and a Friday. My job does not give me annual leave, but we get "vacation time". I have 3 weeks off over Christmas. Two weeks off at Easter and a week off for Whitsun. I am available throughout the summer from the last working day in July until the first working day in October. Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I am happy to care for your pet in my home or yours, or, wherever you pet feels safe and comfortable. Morning, afternoon and evening walks are always on the agenda, I enjoy dog walking, and I am also content with a dog that does not need as much exercise as others.
A typical day
There is a lovely conservation area close to where I live. The walks for dogs is beautiful, lots of streams and lots of interesting smells for dogs. It is a dog friendly area and a cafe where your pet an enjoy a pup cup if they are allowed to have one, or two.
