Finn can care for
Availability
I work at my day job at a vet Wed-Fri between 9am-7pm. I won’t be able to do any drop ins or walks during this time, but am always happy to do drop ins before and after my shifts. Sat-Tues I am fully available for walks and drop ins at any time. As for overnight stays, I will need to leave for my 10 hour shift, but I get a long lunch break and typically go to check on dogs during this time! I try to make it as similar to your regular schedule as I can.

A typical day
I think it's important to make sure that our pets get both mental and physical stimulation so I love to play games and do sniff walks! But I'm not going to lie, I can be a huge couch potato too, so I'm all for matching your pet's energy!

Vet assistant - Peace of mind
Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Finn! Leaving your pet with someone else can be a little stressful. You want to know they’re not just being fed and let outside, but actually getting the same patience, attention and care you’d give them yourself. That’s the kind of sitter I strive to be! I work at a vet clinic in Surrey and have previously worked at a senior and special needs sanctuary, so I’m trained in medication administration, caring for special-needs pets, and have my pet first aid and fear free certifications. But that’s not the only thing that’s important for a petsitter. You need someone kind, caring and patient. And I pride myself on being that for pets! I’m a veterinary assistant with years of experience caring for pets. The best part of working with animals is bonding with them and making them feel comfortable. Whether they’re shy, energetic, cuddly, or independent, I meet them where they’re at so they can feel safe and understood. I share my own home with a bulldog mix puppy and a senior cat! I give detailed updates + lots of photos every visit. Your pets comfort is always going to be my number one priority. If they want love and snuggles, I’ll be happy to give them. But if they need space and reassurance, I respect those boundaries as well! My Availability I work at a clinic Wed–Fri so am unavailable during the day, but I’m available mornings + evenings on workdays and fully available on all other days. I try my very best to be flexible for last-minute bookings and emergency check-ins. I’m based in Clayton Heights (Surrey) and happy to travel nearby. Here is what I offer: Drop-In Visits I come by for feeding, potty breaks, litter scooping, meds, playtime, snuggles, and check-ins. Really whatever you need! These are typically 30-60 minutes but I’m open to any unique situations. Overnight stays I am happy to bring back overnight stays! While I can’t offer 24/7 stays at your house because of my day job, I’m able to stay with your pet before/ after I leave for work and spend the night with them so it’s likely a similar schedule to when you’re at home and going to work during the day. Meet & Greet I always offer a free meet & greet so you can get a sense of me as a person, ask questions, and make sure you and your pet feels comfortable with me. Your pet deserves a friend who notices the little things and that’s exactly what I do. I’d love to support you and care for your furry family member!

Reviews

Finn went above and beyond. They took great care of my 2 senior cats. Direction was followed and the report card photos were amazing. Thank you.

It was our first time using the Rover app and having a stranger take care of our precious pup in our home. We were extremely worried and didn’t know what to expect. Finn was a wonderful dog sitter for our English Bulldog. He came for a visit before we left on our vacation and was extremely polite and friendly. Our dog loved him from the moment he met him. Finn welcomed his affection and connected within seconds. This gave us a lot of comfort knowing our pup really liked him, which isn’t always the case for him. We also loved knowing that Finn worked as a vet assistant, as our dog has some medical needs. We knew we were leaving him in good hands as he had the knowledge and expertise to take care of all of his needs. While we were away, Finn sent cute pictures of our pup, along with detailed updates about his day. He even reached out to ask if we wanted more updates. We felt that was a very thoughtful gesture. Finn was also extremely quick to respond to our messages, which also put our mind at ease. While we were away, there was a mini heat wave at home. Finn took caution to take him out only when the temperatures were cool as he’s extremely sensitive to heat. Finn also told us the AC was keeping the house very cool which was also comforting for us to know. We left snacks, drinks, and other items for Finn, but he barely took anything. He did not leave a dish in the sink, and the house was in the same condition in which we left it, which was super clean! He didn’t even leave any garbage in the garbage can. In fact, Finn even took the time to water my plants and flowers. He went above and beyond in so many ways. He also went as far as fixing our fire alarm malfunction for us. We are truly grateful for everything he did for our pup and for us. When we arrived at home, Finn was smiling away and so was our pup. We could tell they had a great time playing and going for walks together. We know our pup will miss him! Finn left us a thank you note, and left another for our son, thanking him for letting him use his bed while he stayed at our place. How sweet is that? We look forward to booking Finn again. We hope you consider booking him too because he did a Finn-tastic job! (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself!) Honestly, Finn will take good care of your pup, and your home if you need the same support as us. Thank you Finn! You did an outstanding job taking care of our sweet pup and our home! Thank you for loving our pup as much as we do❤️

Finn took great care of my cat Root and was incredibly attentive throughout the stay. He kept very detailed updates and records, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, Root clearly liked him and was very comfortable around him. I really appreciated all the care and attention he gave her, and I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.

Fantastic cat sitter! Finn was very responsive and flexible, and I was so happy to return home to a healthy, content cat!
