Information Finn L. would like to know about your pet

A typical day

I think it's important to make sure that our pets get both mental and physical stimulation so I love to play games and do sniff walks! But I'm not going to lie, I can be a huge couch potato too, so I'm all for matching your pet's energy!

Vet assistant - Cat Lover

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Finn, it's nice to meet you! I’m a veterinary assistant with 5+ years of hands on experience caring for cats, dogs, small animals, and exotics. I work in a vet clinic in Surrey, so I’m trained in medication administration, senior care, special-needs, anxiety management, and recognizing early signs of health issues, but that’s not what’s important for a petsitter. You need someone kind, caring and patient. And I pride myself on being that for pets! Before we go any further I want to point out that I definitely aim to prioritize cats, as they tend to get the short end of the stick in many pet sitting situations. But that being said, I of course love dogs as well and am happy to care for all types of puppy friends. The best part of my day is always bonding with cats and making them feel comfy. Whether they are shy, energetic, quirky, cuddly, or independent, I meet them right where they’re at so they can feel safe and understood. I love seniors and am confident administering all kinds of meds. I have experience with cats who hide, need some time to build up trust, and homes with multiple pets. I give detailed updates + lots of photos every visit. I may not always be the best people person, but you can be sure your pet is getting the best care. Your pet’s comfort is always my number one priority. If they want love and snuggles, they’ll get them. But if they need space and reassurance, I respect those boundaries as well! My Availability I work at a clinic Wed–Fri so am unavailable during the day, but I’m available mornings + evenings on workdays and fully available on all other days. I try my very best to be flexible for last-minute bookings and emergency check-ins. I’m based in Clayton Heights (Surrey) and happy to travel nearby. Here is what I offer: Drop-In Visits I come by for feeding, litter scooping, meds, playtime, snuggles, and check-ins for seniors. Really whatever you need! These are typically 30-60 minutes but I’m open to any unique situations. Overnight stays I am happy to bring back overnight stays! While I can’t offer 24/7 stays at your house because of my day job, I’m able to stay with your pet before/ after I leave for work and spend the night with them so it’s likely a similar schedule to when you’re at home and going to work during the day. Meet & Greet I always offer a free meet & greet so you can get a sense of me as a person, ask questions, and make sure your pet feels comfy with me. I don’t really trust men either, I get it! Your pet deserves a friend who notices the little things and that’s exactly what I do. I’d love to support you and care for your furry family member!

Finn took great care of my cat Root and was incredibly attentive throughout the stay. He kept very detailed updates and records, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, Root clearly liked him and was very comfortable around him. I really appreciated all the care and attention he gave her, and I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.

I was very happy with Finn watching my animals. He sent me regular updates about them both and I was sure they were well taken care off with him dropping by twice a day! We will be using him again ❤️

Finn is absolutely the best choice for pet sitting! With his extensive veterinary background and years of experience with all sorts of furry (and feathered) friends, he's got the skills to give you peace of mind. But what really sets him apart is his kind heart - he's got a way with animals that just makes them feel loved and cared for. I've seen him in action, and I wouldn't hesitate to trust him with my own pets. Plus, he's just a great guy to have around! If you're looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and pet-savvy, Finn's your guy
