Hi, my name is Fin (I also go by CJ). I have been working with animals for essentially my entire life. I grew up in a household full of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, horses, chickens, snakes, and more! Because of this, animal care has always come naturally to me. I have hands on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I began pet sitting for friends around age 12 and started working professionally in the pet industry in 2019. My background includes working at multiple dog daycares, Pet Food Express, turning out horses, and as a dog groomer. Grooming came naturally to me, as I spent my middle and high school years bathing our five family dogs, most of whom were large breeds. I currently own three dogs, two Chihuahua mixes and a cattle dog. Having multiple dogs in the home requires close observation and the ability to accommodate each individual personality, so you can be assured that I will provide the same level of care and attention to your pets while accommodating any specific needs they may have. In addition to grooming and daycare work, I have experience as a dog trainer. I have trained three service dogs and assisted in training additional service dogs as well as companion pets. My dogs are my entire world, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. You can expect attentive, patient, and compassionate care tailored to your dog’s individual needs. I also have experience with cats, including assisting with cat grooming, bathing cats, and pet sitting. I am comfortable reading feline body language and meeting their specific care requirements. I am knowledgeable in administering medications to both dogs and cats and am more than happy to accommodate pets with special needs. While I am not CPR certified, I do have a solid understanding of basic pet first aid. Your pets’ safety, comfort, and well being are always my top priority.

I ask that you provide a detailed list of your pet’s needs, as each animal is an individual. I want to ensure I am caring for your pet exactly as you would, so they feel as safe and comfortable with me as possible. I also ask that you tell me about anything that interests your dog. Do they like to chase birds or cats? What do you use when walking them? Do they have a specific walking route they are used to? Are there any medical needs or allergies? Are they more shy, or outgoing and playful? What motivates them most, such as food, affection, or toys? All of this information will allow me to better accommodate your pet and get to know them before meeting, so I can provide the best possible experience.

Fin is amazing. He bonded with Simon and shared pics and video while we were gone. He’s loving and knowledgeable about animals. He gave me some advice on thing I wasn’t aware of that will help Simon, our cat. We will use Fin from now on when we travel.
Fin is a really good friend of mine and is a huge animal lover. I’ve known him for many years and he’s always had a love for all kinds of animals. He also trained his service dog and managed to teach her really cool tricks. He’s also a great dog groomer and is really good working with them. I would highly recommend.

I have known Fin for over ten years. In this time, he has cared for multiple animals, including cats, dogs, and various reptiles. He is a caring individual who only wants the best for animals, as well as their owners. Recently, Fin has been working at a pet grooming place and has constantly offered advice to his customers about how to help with different types of care for their animals. Some of these include how to properly brush their dog, what they can do to prevent matting, and even suggestions on which products to use to make their animals happier. Alongside his love for animals, he also loves people. Fin always tries his best to see things from another’s point of view, and rather than belittling them, he asks questions to better understand what the other person is trying to say. This love of people and their points of view makes him a good candidate for this job. Fin is very responsible, catering to each pet as if it was his own, and does his best to give their lives a happy memory with him. His attention to detail, with questioning for a clear understanding of what you want from him, is what makes him stand out from other pet sitters. His love for animals never makes you question if your pet is in good hands, because you will see a smile on his face that will never leave when he is caring for your animal.
