I've spent most of my life looking after dogs and have grown up with 8 family dogs, including Toy and Miniature Poodles, French Bulldogs and a Cocker Spaniel. They've all had their own personalities and needs, so I'm used to adapting my care to suit each dog. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs and senior dogs, as well as dogs that are a little nervous or reactive. I understand that every dog is different, and I'm always patient, calm and happy to let them get to know me at their own pace. I'm also confident giving medication when needed, including tablets, ear drops, eye drops, ointments and insulin injections, always following the owner's instructions carefully. As well as caring for my own family dogs, I regularly dog sit for my sister's dogs and have completed a 7-day house and dog sit for a friend while they were on holiday. I've also cat sat for friends several times, including feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, playing with them and making sure they had plenty of company. My professional background is in medical laboratories, where I've worked as a laboratory manager and senior scientist. Those roles required a high level of responsibility, attention to detail and following procedures carefully—qualities that I also bring to caring for pets. Although I'm new to Rover, caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I'll treat every pet as if they were my own and always do my best to make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you're away.
