Over the next few months I have to complete vet clinic placements as part of my course, so am better suited for one-off overnight sittings or evening drop ins / walks. I am typically free on the weekends as long as I don’t have any prearranged plans.

Alongside my personal experience of dog ownership, I have also attended animal handling practicals as part of my course. I am, therefore trained in handling a crate or muzzle if needed. Personal experience has meant that I am comfortable with leads and harnesses and walking and dealing with dogs of all sizes.
Information Ffion B. would like to know about your pet
It would be useful to know if a dog is on any medication that would need up-keeping during their time with me. Also, their temperament and if they have any particular handling issues (e.g. don’t like their head being stroked). Would additionally need to know how they are with other dogs / people to be prepared on walks and to possibly alter walks to avoid problems.
A typical day
Mainly nice walks suited to the activity level of the dog. Very comfortable with walking for hours so suitable for very energetic dogs that need to get rid of some energy. Also very happy to do shorter walks for more senior dogs that don’t need to go too far.

Pet care experience
I have owned many pets - specifically dogs for most of my life (currently a rescue westie called Snowy and a corgi called Nel) and am also studying as a vet at the Royal Veterinary College of London, so I am very animal orientated! I am passionate about the care and wellbeing of animals and love making the most of the beautiful area with lovely walks. I previously volunteered as a dog walker and carer at an RSPCA centre (1 year) and so am very accustomed to walking dogs and dealing with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. As well as, several weeks of work experience at vet clinics handling the animals. I split my time between home (Neath) and uni (Hertfordshire), so may only be of use for those needing one-off services or a few days here and there, rather than weekly, consistent services. I’m also a fluent Welsh speaker! Fun fact: you may have seen me featured on the S4C programme ‘Y Fets’ where I was involved in alpaca walking (my profile photo).

I cannot thank and recommend Ffion enough. We usually ask parents to feed and tend to our cat when we go away, however, decided to use Ffion due to her other fantastic reviews and that she was local to us. Communication with Ffion was fantastic, we met face to face before we agreed to go ahead with the booking which put both of us at ease. When we were away I would have regular updates from Ffion and some lovely photos and videos which again put my mind at rest when away knowing she was receiving such wonderful care. I would not hesitate to use Ffion again in the future and would recommend her 100%
Ffion was absolutely incredible with our two dogs! She was really responsive to our messages, and so lovely and professional during our meet and greet. She took the time to really get to know Gwen and Bandit and understand what they need, we felt so reassured and confident with her caring for our dogs. We really appreciated the photo updates she sent on the dog sit, and could tell how much fun Gwen and Bandit were having! Ffion is great. Prompt and efficient. Very friendly and warm - our dog loved her. She was flexible in agreeing all the details of her visit and confident in handling the dog at our house (he's a big strong dog). With her vets training, I'd trust Ffion if anything went wrong, too. Highly recommend.
