Hi there! I’m Fernanda, a former veterinarian from Brazil now living in Canada and embracing new adventures. Although I had to leave my professional career and my beloved pets, Bella (a sweet pup) and Gato (my loyal cat), I bring with me a lifelong love for animals and valuable experience in caring for them. I’ve been surrounded by animals since childhood—starting with dogs and later falling in love with cats too. Over the years, my passion for animals has only grown stronger. Thanks to my veterinary background, I’m confident handling pets of all ages and temperaments, and I’m happy to help reinforce basic commands and routines. My husband (Gabriel) also shares my love for animals and often helps me out when I’m unavailable. That means we can offer flexible scheduling and are available to support as many pet parents as possible. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member and give them the love, attention, and care they deserve!

Fernanda was beyond stellar. Truly world-class. While we were away, our cat started having kidney-related issues and took a sudden turn. Fernanda immediately recognized that something wasn’t right and urged us to get him to the vet. She was absolutely right. He needed medical attention, and her instincts made all the difference. For two and a half days, she coordinated with the vet and with us nonstop. When he was discharged, she brought him home, kept him warm and comfortable, monitored him closely, and handled everything with total calm and competence. On top of that, she kept our house more organized than we left it and even took care of some laundry we’d left behind. That level of care goes way beyond expectations. She’s an exceptional house and cat sitter. Smart, responsible, proactive, and deeply caring. We trust her completely and would recommend her without hesitation.

My weekdays follow a steady and organized routine, which allows me to offer dogs a calm and consistent environment. While I dedicate part of my day to studying, I always make time for quality moments with the pets I care for—whether that’s a peaceful walk, some playtime, or a bit of mental stimulation like enrichment games. Evenings and weekends are perfect for longer outings, extra cuddles, and relaxed bonding time. I believe dogs thrive on structure, gentle attention, and activities that keep both their minds and bodies happy.

Your pet’s well-being is my top priority. I do everything I can to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for—whether it’s during a walk, a home visit, or an overnight stay. I know how hard it can be for animals to be away from their humans, so I take a gentle and patient approach, letting each pet settle in at their own pace. I pay close attention to their body language and habits, and I always respect their individual needs and preferences. Whether your dog is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, I’ll make sure they feel seen, understood, and loved—just like they would at home.

A typical day
A happy pet is a stimulated pet—and I love creating fun, engaging days that combine both mental and physical activity. Depending on your dog’s personality and energy level, we’ll play games that challenge their brain, enjoy walks with plenty of sniffing and exploration (I like to switch up our walking routes to keep things fresh!), or relax together for some calm bonding time. I also enjoy introducing dogs to simple enrichment activities like snuffle mats, puzzle feeders, or treat hunts to keep their minds active and curious. Of course, every day includes lots of affection, positive attention, and time to just be themselves in a calm, loving environment. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, secure, and truly cared for throughout our time together.
