In my own home, pets are treated as part of the family — they have access to a safe, comfortable space, regular walks, and plenty of playtime and cuddles, just like I do with my dog Bobbi. I make sure the environment is secure (no hazards, escape-proof areas) and that they have a consistent routine for feeding and rest. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their existing routine as closely as possible — same feeding times, walk schedules, and house rules — so the pet feels minimal disruption. I always do a walkthrough beforehand to spot anything that needs attention (gates, exits, medications) and stay attentive to the pet’s comfort and body language throughout my time there.
