Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I work as a freelance design consultant with flexible hours. This means I can offer consistent daily walks and drop-ins, plus I’m often available for longer sits or boarding since I’m not tied to a fixed 9-5 schedule. I structure my day around my own dog Bobbi’s needs too, so caring for another pet fits right in alongside that.

In my own home, pets are treated as part of the family — they have access to a safe, comfortable space, regular walks, and plenty of playtime and cuddles, just like I do with my dog Bobbi. I make sure the environment is secure (no hazards, escape-proof areas) and that they have a consistent routine for feeding and rest. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their existing routine as closely as possible — same feeding times, walk schedules, and house rules — so the pet feels minimal disruption. I always do a walkthrough beforehand to spot anything that needs attention (gates, exits, medications) and stay attentive to the pet’s comfort and body language throughout my time there.
