Years of Experience and a Happy Golden Retriever
I’ve been surrounded by dogs since I was 5 and cats since I was 18. Caring for animals is a lifelong passion, and I believe they truly transform a house into a home. My experience includes providing basic medical treatments and senior care, having looked after dogs with cancer, kidney disease, and other conditions. Charlote, my third rescue Golden Retriever, is calm, well-trained, and doesn’t bark. She’s also comfortable around other animals, including cats. I’d expect visiting dogs to have similar calm behavior to ensure everyone feels at ease. I create a quiet, cozy environment tailored to each dog’s needs, ensuring they feel safe and cared for. If your dog would enjoy a stress-free space with plenty of care, companionship, and opportunities to relax or play, this is the ideal spot!

We couldn’t have left our dog in better hands for the weekend! Fernanda was responsible and caring, providing lots of photo updates whilst we were away.
Fernanda has been a great and caring sitter, and really good also with large breeds. Her dog Charlotte is really laid back and a great house companion when my dogs come to visit. She is punctual with meds and takes the pups on some great long walks. Highly recommend her services!
Fernanda was a great host to my rescue dog, she kindly picked up our booking over New Years Eve at late notice. She has a lovely family and calm dog, would definitely recommend. Thanks again!

Schedule
I work from home, so I'll be always around to provide care and attention. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, as I’ve already been helping care for the pets of friends and family. I kindly ask for at least one week’s notice to ensure I can accommodate your pet without any scheduling conflicts, as I prefer not to leave the house for more than four hours when a guest dog is staying with us.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a small fenced garden where pets can safely explore, but I also walk Charlote daily as she enjoys playing with the ball and running in the woods. I ensure she’s always on an all-year flea treatment, and I kindly ask that any dog visiting my home has the same level of care. In my home, dogs are welcome to relax on the sofa or sleep in my room, but not on the bed. If needed, I can provide separate spaces for pets and have a crate available upon request. However, I don’t use crates unless specifically instructed by the owner, as I believe pets are more comfortable without them. The only time Charlote has been in a crate was during her flight from Brazil to the UK.

A typical day
I love giving dogs the freedom to explore and play at their own pace. They’ll have access to toys, including balls and other items, to keep them entertained throughout the day. I also like to offer occasional treats to engage both their minds and bodies. As part of our daily routine, I take the dogs on relaxed walks, giving them plenty of time to explore the surroundings and enjoy a calm, fun stroll in the area near my home. Every dog has their own unique rhythm, so I make sure to tailor activities to their personality and energy level.
