Grew up with dogs
I grew up with dogs. My parents managed a very successful boarding establishment which I worked in regularly and we always had dogs of our own: Rhodesian ridgebacks, rescue greyhounds, dachshunds to name a few. I've regularly looked after other people's dogs and have never had any complaints. My husband and I have a beautiful little jack russell whom we adore. My husband works from home, so is home all day to ensure that your dogs have company and I'll take responsibility for feeding and any medication required.

Bobby had a wonderful stay at Ferns. The welcome was well organised allowing me time to discuss Bobby’s ways and introduce him. I was put at ease straight away as there was clearly a professional understanding of dog behaviour and care. I will definitely be visiting again and I am so relieved to find such a trustworthy dog minder. Excellent
Elsa had a wonderful visit with Fern. It was her first stay away from home and she came back happy and tuckered out. Fern kept in touch with pics and info about Elsa and I could see what a good time she was having. I couldn't have been happier. Fern clearly understands and loves dogs. I would definitely book with Fern again!

Fern has been great, and Harry loves her too. It was a first for us to leave Harry with a stranger, but she made us feel confident and happy he was in safe hands. One very happy dog.
Fern is extremely experienced with dogs, having helped in her parents kennels since childhood. No-one could be better, more capabler or more responsible with your pet.
Fern and her parents have been known to me for many years. She has been raised with dogs, as her parents own a highly regarded boarding kennels.She is a genuine dog lover, who has owned and walked dogs for many years. Schedule
While I work approximately 38 weeks a year, my husband works from home full time and is available to keep your pet company throughout the day. My mother, who worked with dogs for 55 years prior to retiring, also visits us regularly and is happy to help out with any dogs staying. We love heading out walks; dog walking is already part of our daily routine, with longer walks and adventures being a favourite weekend hobby.

Safety, trust & environment
Check that they can't jump the tall fence in the garden, or are likely to dig underneath it. Lots of play time interacting with us and our jack russell, Maple. Feeding time(s) as per owners' requests. Medication administered as required. Plenty of opportunities to do the toilet (both in the garden and on walks)
