I have over 8 years of experience in pet ownership, having grown up in a pet-loving family. My first independent pet was a British Shorthair cat named Hengcai, which I adopted from a shelter 4 years ago. Three years ago, I got married. My wife and I met and fell in love because of our shared love for pets. Her pet cat is named Xiaohu. Thanks to my extensive pet care experience, her cat quickly liked and accepted me, and we became a happy family. Two years ago, on a very cold Chinese New Year, I found a nearly frozen puppy on the road. I took him home and nursed him back to health, naming him Xinnian to commemorate the day we met. Six months later, while walking my dog, I encountered a stray dog attacking a litter of kittens. The mother cat had died, leaving one surviving kitten. I bravely rescued her, injuring my foot in the process, but I was very happy. That day was during the Chinese period known as Sanfu, which sounds like "fortune" in Chinese, so I named the kitten Sanfu. She was less than a week old when she came to us, so I fed her goat milk with a bottle and successfully taught her to use a litter box. A year ago, due to my spouse's job, we decided to move to the UK. Despite the many challenges of relocating pets internationally, I never gave up. After more than six months of effort, we are now happily living together in the UK. To help with household expenses and to ensure my dog can make friends in our new country, I decided to start working with Rover.
