Dog caregiving seamlessly fits into my lifestyle, complementing my full-time job in Northbrook. I am dedicated to providing the best care during early mornings and evenings, ensuring your dog starts and ends their day with energy and happiness. For those midday moments when your pup needs a break, I am available for walks or check-ins if your location is within a 10-minute drive from my office. This schedule allows me to combine my professional commitments with my passion for dog care, giving your pet consistent and loving attention throughout the day. I am out of town most weekends, but with a week or more of notice I can also accommodate weekend care.

Information Felicia S. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, it's important for me to gather specific information to ensure their safety and comfort. Please provide details about their medical history, dietary needs, allergies, or sensitivities. I also need to understand your pet’s behavior, temperament, and routine to tailor activities and interactions appropriately. It’s crucial for me to know the training commands your pet responds to and any special fears or needs they may have. Additionally, having emergency contact details for your pet’s veterinarian and a trusted contact person is vital for managing any unexpected situations effectively. This comprehensive information will help me provide the best care and ensure your pet stays happy and healthy while under my supervision.

A typical day

A typical day of dog caregiving for me begins early, ensuring that the dogs are fed a nutritious breakfast to start their day off right. After breakfast, we head out for a rejuvenating 30-minute walk, which provides them with some exercise and mental stimulation before I head to work. If the dog's residence is within a quick drive from my workplace in Northbrook, I can pop in for a midday potty break, giving them a chance to stretch their legs and have a quick interaction. After work, it's time for dinner, served according to their usual schedule. Post-dinner activities vary between a 30 to 60-minute walk or some fun playtime in a park or yard, depending on what's available at their home. This is a great time for them to expend any pent-up energy from the day. The evening winds down with plenty of snuggles and additional playtime as needed, tailored to the dog's energy levels and mood. Before bed, we step out for one last potty break, ensuring a comfortable night. This routine not only keeps them physically active but also ensures they feel loved and secure throughout the day.

Your Dog's New Best Friend

Pet care experience

Passionate about pooches from childhood, I've devoted years to loving and caring for our four-legged friends. After college, I became the proud primary caregiver for Lilly, a delightful dog I had the joy of looking after for five wonderful years. My journey continued as I fostered various dogs through a local shelter for two years, gaining invaluable experience with a diverse range of breeds and personalities. After a short pause, I'm excited to re-enter the world of dog caregiving and share my lifelong passion and expertise with your beloved companion!

Cooper enjoyed his stay with Felicia. She made sure he was very comfortable in her home. She even gave him toys to make his own. We received daily updates regarding his walks, meals, etc.
