I am on a hybrid work schedule, but there is almost always someone at our house to hang out with our 4 legged guests. We live right next to a park where we enjoy taking long walks, playing fetch, and just getting out and about at least once a day.

We have a fully fenced backyard that has low risk for any escape artists (they'd have to be quite determined and find something we don't know about). However, I'll always check with you to make sure they're good outside on their own. Otherwise, I typically will stay outside with them just to be sure. Walks are always leashed and we only feed what is provided.

*Must get along with young children* Our kid typically just laughs at the antics of our pup houseguests, likes to help feed, and throw balls/toys and generally leaves animals alone otherwise, but toddlers be toddlers. We need full confidence that your pup is patient with young ones. Friendly with small children, energy level, temperament, if he/she has ever stayed with someone before, and furniture habits.
A typical day
Since someone is always home your companion will have all the potty breaks needed, optional guest appearances in Teams meetings when I am working from home, and surprise mid-day walks to the park when my eyes need a break from the computer screen. I like to think of pet sitting as being a pseudo grandparent. Give all love, attention, have fun, spoil and send him/her back happy as can be home. Your pup will also have a toddler companion that enjoys feeding, and throwing toys for them.

I’ve been pet sitting since 2020, there is almost always someone at our home so no matter our plans our furry guests always have company. My young son loves to play tug, fetch, or chase and gets a kick out of helping with food and water. We are a mostly relaxed house until someone gets post dinner zoomies.
