I am a South African who relocated to the Netherlands. I currently live in Leiden Merenwijk with my husband and three cats. My father mainly trained dogs for the police, but also took in all kinds of neglected animals, from bunnies, to peacocks to monkeys. I grew up with a huge ginger cat (Genie AKA Kieter), and as an adult I adopted Gypsy the moment I had a pet-friendly place. Benji our bengal joined the family when I got married. Similarly, in the Netherlands we have adopted our cats, who have been such a pleasure to get to know. I am familiar with all tasks regarding cats such as feeding, grooming/brushing, playing, nail clipping, cleaning their litter boxes, etc. I am also comfortable to administer medicine if needed. I am very happy to take my cues from the pet, regarding if they want to be petted, play, eat, etc. I understand certain pets are slower to warm up and others are comfortable from the get go. I'll gladly listen to your requests and suggestions regarding your pet's needs and take it from there.
