Active Rice Student with Quiet Home
During my childhood, I grew up with both dogs and cats because my family loved to foster! Care always included playtime, walks (for dogs) and potty cleaning. I especially loved that fostering taught me about loving with mindfulness for our foster babies, and providing a safe and peaceful environment until they found forever homes! During my undergraduate studies, I was always with roommates/friends that had cats, and even though they weren’t technically my own, I loved sharing the responsibility of having a cat. Care for cats included feeding them medication, feeding them, cutting their nails whenever needed, play time during their zoomies moments, and just cuddling whenever they wanted! In this last year, I realized I loved cats so much I wanted to adopt one myself! Now, I have a beautiful baby named Cider who is genuinely my world. I am no stranger to bugs haha, as I do have experience with reptiles as well! My last Roomate had an African fat-tailed gecko that I’ve occasionally fed roaches to, made sure his heat lamps for night or day were on for respective times, and maintained his moisture levels!

Leaving Amalia behind is never easy, but Fatima made it so much easier. From the first update to the last, I could tell she truly cared; patiently introducing Amalia to her cat Cider, watching over her like her own, and sending sweet photos and videos so I never had to wonder how she was doing. What stood out most was how much I could just relax. Fatima was attentive, communicative, and gentle with every detail, big or small. I never once worried, because I knew Amalia was in genuinely loving hands. I came home to a happy, healthy cat, and a catsitter I trust completely. Fatima isn’t just reliable, she truly cares. 🐾

Schedule
I’m currently a graduate student at Rice with no other responsibilities, who lives close to campus! I can be at home at flexible times to check up on your baby, and I would love to walk/run your pets to make sure they’re getting the exercise they need!

Safety, trust & environment
When it comes to pet sitting at a home, I typically multitask by doing homework or reading quietly with to my kitty, Cider, on my lap. Even if I need to work, I always want to make sure he feels seen and loved. When it comes to my own home, I currently live in a small apartment that I live in with my best friend (also a studious grad student), so it’s a very predictable and quiet environment.

A typical day
I love to go out and explore, so I’d love to go hiking and explore neighboring wilderness with your baby! Of course, if exploring local parks is not for your baby, staying in to play or read together is also something I enjoy doing.
