Ein typischer Tag
A typical day with the dogs I watch includes a mix of playtime, walks, feeding, and plenty of cuddles. We start the day with a morning walk, followed by some indoor or backyard play, then wind down with quiet time and attention to their routine. For fun, I love taking the dogs on nature walks, playing fetch, and engaging them with enrichment games like treat puzzles or hide-and-seek.

Faith has been around dogs all her life. Other than a year span of time in which Faith’s family did not have a pet, Faith has grown up in a pet-filled family life, often with more than one dog at a time, as many as three, and two dogs presently. Faith has always been a part of the taking care of the dogs. When COVID hit, Faith’s family rescued two puppies, and Faith and her sister were given full responsibility of caring for the two dogs, the parents’ only role being to pay the bills, and Faith (and her sister) raised the dogs extremely well. That included the everyday responsibilities of feeding, walking, cleaning up after the dogs, continuing the dogs’ training, and spending large amounts of time with the dogs. When Faith was 12 years old, Faith was given a unique opportunity. It started out with a neighbor simply asking if Faith could be the “puppy socializer of a litter of German Shorthaired Pointers (who were bred for the purpose of bird training), and led to the neighbor allowing Faith to become the bird dog trainer of one of the dogs. At first, Faith was responsible to let the dogs out, give them water, play with them, and walk with them. In time, the neighbor asked Faith if she would like to be the sole trainer for one of the pups. Faith accepted the offer and trained one of the pups (Lenya) to hunt in the field. That experience included Faith training Lenya to be disciplined and to listen to her, to be able to go into the field and do whatever Faith asked Lenya to do with the commands that Faith gave her, both on land and in the water. The training process spanned the course of a year, which included many 5AM bird training sessions. Although Faith incurred a hockey injury in which Faith broke her femur, Faith continued Lenya’s training to the best of Faith’s ability, with Faith in the field on crutches during Lenya’s final testing. Faith is excellent with dogs. Faith is very loving but firm with her own pups, and they miss her a lot when she is at school or traveling for her hockey. As a person, Faith is motivated and driven, a friendly, kind and gentle person who is motivated and driven. In addition to dog walking, Faith will be spending her summer doing her lawn care business which she created. Academically, Faith has maintained an above 4.0 GPA throughout her high school career, attending both Loudoun Valley High School and the Academies of Loudoun STEM school, all while playing on a competitive ice hockey travel program. I highly recommend Faith’s services in all capacities of the care of dogs. Faith is reliable, prompt, disciplined, connects well with animals (and people!), and pursues excellence in everything that she does. Customers will be very pleased with Faith’s services!
I highly recommend Faith as a dog walker. She has a natural connection with animals and has experience training dogs, which gives her an edge in handling pets of all temperaments. Faith is incredibly compassionate, dependable, and attentive to each dog’s unique needs. She’s punctual, communicates clearly, and treats every pet as if it were her own. Any dog owner would be lucky to have her caring for their furry friend!
