I am currently a college student. Most of my classes are around 9-12 or 4-6. It’s a very gapped scheduled so I’m good to take care of dogs early in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

Pet care experience

I have had a dog for 7 years. Though I’m now in college so we no longer live together. For most of the those years, I’ve been his main care giver. I’ve feed, walked, picked up, cleaned throw up and poop, taken a tick off of him. Very well versed in the dog sister field. He is also slightly reactive so I have experience in respecting boundaries of reactive dogs. I love to walk. It’s one of my favorite hobbies. Your pup will always get an adequate walk with them.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other pet owners deserve to know about my experience. Before Faith ever walked my dog, Roc, I explained in detail that he is extremely reactive and unpredictable. I gave her specific instructions on the exact route to take because I knew where potential triggers were and wanted to avoid situations that could put anyone at risk. Roc was actively in training, and I made it clear that it was important for everyone working with him to be consistent. Faith agreed that she would stay on the same page as me and his trainer and follow the training plan we had in place. Unfortunately, that did not happen. She assured me she had experience working with large, reactive dogs and knew exactly how to handle them. I booked her for two weeks of walks, but I ended up firing her after only three. The first walk immediately raised concerns. She struggled to put Roc’s leash on and had very little control over him. She later claimed Roc pulled her approximately 100 feet and sent me a photo of what appeared to be a small red mark on her hand, saying he had injured her. Based on the photo and everything I knew about the situation, I did not believe the injury matched what she described. She also reported that Roc attacked another dog. After speaking with the other dog’s owner, I found that the information I received did not align with what I had been told. I should have ended our working relationship after that first walk, but I was leaving the country on a very short timeline and had already scheduled care for Roc, so I gave her another chance. After the second walk, I updated the walking schedule through the app because of my travel plans. Faith knew I was out of the country and that there was a six-hour time difference. I sent the message during my morning, but it was overnight in her time zone. She complained that I had messaged her at 3:00 a.m., even though I was simply trying to communicate about Roc’s care while managing the time difference. Even with the updated schedule, she continued arriving late. On the third walk, regardless of whether she followed the original schedule or the updated one, she still did not arrive on time. She started the walk 11 minutes after the scheduled start time, and the walk lasted only about 12–13 minutes instead of the full visit. That short walk resulted in an incident that, in my opinion, could have been avoided had she followed the route and handling instructions I provided from the beginning. After returning Roc to the house, she messaged me saying she had gone back outside and that she didn’t know if she wanted to continue walking dogs anymore. At that point, I made the decision to terminate our arrangement. I was out of the country and could not wait for her to decide whether she wanted to continue providing the service I had already paid for. Every walk had involved a problem, whether it was lateness, shortened visits, communication issues, or concerns about her ability to safely handle my dog. To make matters worse, she refused to refund the remaining prepaid walks that she never completed. She also called me unprofessional, despite the fact that I stayed in constant communication throughout my trip and did my best to work around the six-hour time difference. I’ve used this app for a long time and have had positive experiences with other walkers. This was the first time I’ve had to leave a review like this. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend booking Faith—especially if you have a large, reactive dog or a dog currently in training. She presented herself as someone experienced with dogs like mine, but my experience did not reflect that. My dog’s safety is my top priority, and unfortunately I did not feel confident that he was in capable hands.
