I've had dogs my whole life (a big goofy Weimaraner, a Chihuahua Spaniel with one tooth and separation anxiety, a little chubby pug who just wants a lap to lay on, my toy-obsessed pug mix) and have dog-sat for almost just as long. From German Shepherds to Tibetan Terriers to Basset Hounds to Vizslas, I have experience with all shapes and sizes of dogs. Is your dog a couch potato? I will make sure my lap is free real estate all night long! Does your dog never run out of energy? I love getting my steps in and can be out from dawn til dusk walking them. The only thing I love more than nature and walking is doing it with a dog by my side! I have plenty of experience both with coming just for walks as well as with having sleepovers with pets at clients' houses. I also volunteer dog walking with PAWS NYC, helping people with disabilities get to keep their pets in their homes while still meeting the dogs' needs. Whether its unique rituals you have to go through to get them to eat or special diets that need to be prepared or anything else that makes your pet feel safe and comfortable, I am happy to do it all. Excited to treat your pets like my own!

Schedule
I am currently working a 9-5 Monday through Thursdays with half days on Fridays. I live in walking distance of my apartment though, so for boarding I can come home midday for a potty break and walk! Before/ after work and on the weekends, I can dedicate all my time to loving on your babies. I am quite active, so I can accommodate dogs who have have high energy and need quite a bit of time outdoors. If your pet gets anxious when people are out of the house, I can ensure I spend as much time as possible with them.

Safety, trust & environment
I have no pets of my own, so there issues with animals getting along with each other. I can provide a walkthrough of my apartment if needed to assess the safety, but I keep the space tidy and free of any items that could pose a risk to your animals. I am more than happy to have the pets on the bed/ couch (if they are usually allowed to :)) In your home, whatever you say goes! I am very detail-oriented, so I will make sure anything on your checklist of do's and don'ts is adhered to.
A typical day
I love letting dogs control the pace of their walks, whether that is a slow sniff walk so they can get the scoop on what's going on in the neighborhood or if its a brisk pace to get some energy out. If they love being in the sun, I will sit with them in the park for as long as they like; if they love being on the couch, I will provide a lap for them to lay on. If they like to play, I will throw a ball or wave a cat wand for as long as they are interested. I also love hiding treats, if they are allowed them, to mentally and physically stimulate them!
