I let them come to me, I let them sniff me or something of mine. I try to make sure I'm not trapping them, leaving an exit for them to leave at any point. I stay calm and quiet to avoid scaring them more, and if the client allows, I give them treats to foster trust. Before I do anything else then I do what the client wants and any special requests to make it more enjoyable for the pets no matter how strange!

A typical day
Some of the fun activities I would do with your pets, making sure they're active and stimulated, would be fetch or tug of war, fun, full walks at their speed, and whatever the owner says they like, even if that just means tossing a toy back and forth.

She did fantastic! She sent us pictures of our dog and spent time with her. She also did amazing with our lizard. She made sure to clean the mess with our dog when she played with her inside :)
Faith is a neighbor and has been watching our dog Grace for a long time. She recently has started watching our Leopard gecko as well! She always does an amazing job with them! She will take in packages as well so they are not sitting outside, and is great with updating and keeping us in the loop with our crazy dog!
I love Karma petsitting for me. I have a dog, cat, ferret an umbrella cockatoo, snakes, and sugar glider. Karma was willing to observe me spending time with them and for feeding times. Medications needed to be given at the time and Karma was able to handle the task with my dog. My dog and cat were both in love having someone at home with them while I was gone. My bird loved the company and was excited to see Karma again. The sugarglider bonded quickly and gets regular pouch time and nail trimmings. Karma is a fast learner and not afraid to ask questions. I will always keep Karma as my go to petsitter because a wonderful job is always done.
