Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because working with animals has always been a big part of my life. I’m currently a 2nd year veterinary student home for break, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I will also be shadowing at a veterinary clinic a few times a week that will help me stay active in the veterinary field while continuing to build my experience with animals. Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for pets consistently, maintaining routines, and providing attentive, compassionate care throughout the day.

My priority is always making sure that pets feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away or while we're on walks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine to help make them feel as comfortable as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, receive exercise and playtime, and get plenty of attention and love that they deserve! With my veterinary experience, I'm also able to closely monitor for any changes in behavior, energy level, and overall health. Not only would I want the pet to trust me, but also helping owners feels confident that their pets are in great hands and receiving attentive and compassionate care. I will always treat any animal that crosses my path with love like how I treat my babies at home!!

Knowing any medical history is extremely important to me. I want to make sure of any allergies, or conditions that the pet has in order to monitor their wellbeing while they're in my care!
A typical day
Depending on each pet’s personality and energy level, I enjoy doing activities like walks, playtime, enrichment games, cuddle time (very important), brushing, and toys to keep them busy and happy. For cats, I love engaging them with toys, climbing activities, and calm companionship, while dogs enjoy outdoor walks, play sessions, and lots of attention. After many years of experience there has been many times that I've gotten creative to keep the pet happy!

I believe my veterinary experience and genuine love for animals set me apart from other sitters. I'm currently a 2nd year vet student and have worked in veterinary hospitals for several years which has made me comfortable in caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and medical needs. I have experience with administering medications, monitoring senior pets, handling anxious animals, and recognizing when something may be wrong. I’m also patient, attentive, and focused on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and give them all the love they deserve!!
