Pet care experience

Your pets’ favourite visitor

Growing up, I was the official dog-sitter for my grandparents' dog when they travelled. I was also the dog's primary trainer, and worked with her on basic commands. My partner and I brought home our pup in December 2021-the greatest fun has been learning with him and working with him to explore the city and learn new things. Rex loves new people and new dogs, and would be happy to have your pup around for company while you’re away. My favourite activities while caring for dogs are exploring new trails together and working on new tricks/training. My family has had cats all my life, and I am now the proud Cat-mom to two lovely kitties. Since 2016, I have worked with a local cat rescue and fostered over 100 cats and kittens, including sick kitties, neonatal kittens (under 8 weeks old), and "bottle babies" (neonatal kittens with no mother). In the rescue, I am known for my work with under-socialized and scared cats, and those with behaviour or health issues. I am happy to look after your home and pets, and will take care of them as if they are my own. I know that while you're away-be that at work or on vacation-knowing your pets are taken care of gives you great peace of mind. Pet First Aid completed Jan 2026

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a house with a fenced yard and two doors between my space and outside, so there's less escape risk. There's many quiet streets and several parks/fields nearby for walks, and I live on a quiet street and can take more shy pups out for a short walk without too many distractions. I want the very best for my pets, so I feed them raw and work on positive reinforcement training with our pup and the cats. I believe it’s up to the humans to set the tone for good behaviour, by setting clear rules and encouraging positive behaviour. I would do the same with any other pet I’m responsible for. I’ve worked with scared animals as well, and I know there’s a fine balance at times between respecting their need for space and encouraging them to be less scared.

Ezri looked after my dog and my niece’s dog for four days and nights. Neither dog had ever had a stranger look after them. Ezri stayed at my home. We met with her ahead of time to familiarize the dogs. Ezri sent a LOT of text messages, photos and videos of our pups. It was during a heatwave. She made pupcicles and lick mats. She gave longer walks at night, when the pavement was cooler. She bonded well with our pups as by day 2 they were behaving normal in the extreme heat. Ezri is a quiet person who understood our dogs. She did a wonderful job and I would not hesitate to book her again or recommend her to anyone else. Ezri has a quiet authority about her that our pups responded to and respected. Thank you Ezri. When we came home, I couldn’t tell that she had been there for the four days. Very professional!

Ezri has a quiet way about her that has my pup eager to obey. Ezri is getting to know my pup through scheduled walks and visits before I have to leave her for the first time. This may be more than is needed but I feel confident leaving my pup and having Ezri care for her. She presents as a true professional, with prepared answers and questions.

We had a very disappointing experience with Ezri. She showed inflexibility, a lack of experience and a lack of understanding of how to communicate with clients on vacation. Maeve has been with over 7 different sitters in her life; Rover and non Rover. Never ever an issue. Excellent feed back. I have no idea how Ezri become a “star sitter”. Our experience was a disaster. There is not enough space to explain what happened. Rover has our communication as is aware of what happened.

Definitely 5 stars! Ezri showed great care for my nervous babies. She provided impeccable care and kept me fully up to date on everything. My pets were very overwhelmed and stressed by my absence but Ezri did everything possible to keep them happy and healthy. I would gladly book with her again.

I had such a great experience with Ezri watching my two dogs for the weekend! She was so thorough during our meet and greet — she really took the time to learn each of their personalities and needs. Throughout the weekend, she kept me updated with photos and messages, which I really appreciated. She went above and beyond for my senior dog to make sure she was comfortable and happy, and showed so much patience with both of them. You can tell she’s very knowledgeable and truly cares about the animals she looks after. Her and her family were so friendly and welcoming — I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter! My dogs will definitely be back :)

Ezri was amazing with our pup Eddie! We were really last minute down to the stoke of midnight!!! Due to a change of plans we reached out to Ezri and she was very accommodating and understanding. Ezri was kind to accept our request and make it work with my limited schedule before leaving on a mini vacation. She was very thoughtful, thorough with her services and excellent with Eddie which mattered most. I will definitely be contacting Ezri again!

I’m happy to know as much as I can about your pet(s) before my visit. How do they enjoy spending their time? What are important needs for them to be happy, and important “do’s and font’s” for their care? What things stress them, and what things help them feel more calm? The more details I have, the more I can help them stay safe and have the most enjoyable time while we are together! To keep all this info in one place, I ask clients to complete a Pet Profile for each animal in my care, to understand their individual personalities and needs. Once complete, we can update that document as needed—no need to complete it for each booking.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
