Pet care experience
Active, work-from-home sitter 🐾
I've grown up in a dog-loving family and have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to older dogs needing a gentler pace. My partner Ben and I both lead active lifestyles and have grown up with working breeds (cocker spaniels and pointers), so we understand the needs of high-energy dogs - though we're just as happy welcoming dogs of any breed or energy level into our home.

2nd time Hamish has stayed with Evie and partner. We left him for 5 days in their care . He was happy and well cared for . They went out of their way to try and achieve a settled night even though he was reluctant to sleep in his crate. We received lovely photos of him over the days with messsges which helped me to enjoy my trip Thanks again.

Evie was great, she was super communicative, but most of all Guinness had the best time ! Thanks!

This was our first experience with Rover and Evie made the experience so positive. She responded to all questions before our booking and once we met her we knew our dog would be happy with her. She gave us updates, and our dog was clearly relaxed. Such a positive experience and boarding with Evie allowed us to take our dog on holiday but still attend an event without her. Thank you Evie 🩷🐾

Evie looked after Cora so well and was happy to be flexible when I had to rearrange plans at the last minute! Cora settled really well and had a lovely time!

Evie and Ben did a fabulous job looking after our dog Ambar. Regular updates and Ambar had a great fun time with plenty of exercise. I would highly recommend Evie for anyone who wants great care for their dog while they are away.

Evie and Ben were great with Ozzy and having him stay for the weekend, at short notice. The meet and greet beforehand was extremely helpful, as Ozzy can be quite an anxious guy, but he seemed to settle with them quickly and came home happy and tired, having enjoyed a nice long walk during the day.

Schedule
I work from home four days a week, so your dog will have plenty of company, regular walks and toilet breaks throughout the day. On weekdays, we'll head out to local parks for walks to suit your dog's regular routine. At the weekends, we enjoy exploring further afield heading out to beaches or hills. In the evenings you'll typically find us relaxing at home, so your dog is welcome to wind down with us on the sofa.

Safety, trust & environment
We'll follow your dog's regular routine as closely as possible so they feel settled and right at home. At night your dog will have their own space in our spacious box room, where there’s plenty of room for either a crate or bed. We look after one dog at a time (or two well-behaved dogs from the same household), so your dog will always have our full attention. I’m ITC First Aid for Dogs qualified and fully covered by Protectivity Pet Business Insurance so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe hands.
A typical day
We live in Bruntsfield, just a short walk from The Meadows, where your dog will get plenty of fresh air and exercise whatever the weather. At home we're happy to use any enrichment toys that your dog enjoys. At weekends we’ll mix it up, whether that’s going on a longer walk or visiting one of our favourite cafés.

- Please note we're on the second floor of a tenement, so we may not be the right fit for dogs who struggle with stairs or can't be easily carried. If you think we could be a good match, send me a message with details of your dog's routine (walk times, feeding times and sleeping arrangements) and anything else you think would be useful to know. We can then arrange a meet and greet in person. If you’re looking to book a longer stay, a trial night is always a good idea.
