My family dog passed away in March 2025 at the age of 15. I am very flexible and can be available at short notice to help you with your pet care needs. I am very happy to come to you so that your animals get to stay in their home where they are most comfortable.

It is important to be notified and given instructions for any medication requirements for dogs that I am caring for. It is also important to know if the dogs that I am caring for have special instructions for walking e.g. should they be kept on the lead at all times, should they be walked in areas where they won't come into contact with other dogs.
A typical day
Vary the walks that we do and allow the dog to investigate and sniff all the new areas. I will play retrieval games with dogs to help stimulate them. Tug of war games. Reward based training.

Pet care experience
I've grown up with cats my entire life. I have had a family dog since I was 5 and from the age of 12 I have been walking our dog on my own. I have recently worked with a Labrador breeder who trains gundogs. As part of my role there I would walk groups of trained dogs (4 at a time). I have experience working with new litters of puppies and having to administer medicines to them.
