Pet care experience

Away? I’ll walk, sit, stay for you!

I’ve raised and trained two dogs throughout my life, in addition to taking care of cats, lizards and snakes, an axolotl, chickens, and bunnies. Going for jogs, making sure each pet takes their meds, and/or taking care of older animals that may have bowel issues is all part of it! I’m delighted in being a pet caretaker, and would be happy to chat about dog training as well.

Evan was great with our dog. He was calm and very knowledgeable with him.

Evan is a great person! He is responsive and very responsible. He’s a person I know I can trust 100% of the time to do what he says he is going to do. When he is asked to do something, he goes above and beyond to do it right. I have no doubt that Evan would make a great pet caregiver. I would absolutely trust Evan with taking care of any of my pets!

Schedule

I mostly work from home, but may have to make 1-2 (at most) ~2 hour trips to San Francisco in a week. I have a fairly routine schedule, and even take myself for walks! If I’m going out of town, I’ll just block off that part of my schedule.

Safety, trust & environment

If taking care of a pooch in my apartment, I’ll make sure each meal (and meds if needed) plan is adhered to and that water is always available, that at least three walks happen per day and, if we agree on it, that other needs be met. If I’m coming to your house, I’m mindful that some dogs have stranger anxiety, and will approach calmly in order for them to be walked and fed. I’ll respect your, and the dog’s, space.

A typical day

From fetch to snuggles, I’m happy to join in with your pet’s favorite activities. Obedience training with play, and/or food, motivated dogs can mean that we incorporate specific activities into visits.
