Pro Dog Trainer | Safe Boarding

I’m a professional dog trainer with over 10 years of experience working with dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments, and training levels. Dog training and behavior isn’t a hobby for me—it’s what I do professionally every day. What sets my home apart from a typical boarding environment is the experience, structure, and understanding of canine behavior your dog receives while staying with me. I’m comfortable working with everything from puppies and high-energy working breeds to senior dogs and dogs with behavioral challenges, including reactivity and aggression. Dogs stay on my private 1.2-acre property with a fully fenced 6-foot privacy fence, giving them plenty of safe space for exercise, play, and outdoor time. I believe dogs need more than simply being let outside—they need engagement, play, structure, and biological fulfillment. I own and work German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois and have extensive experience with powerful, high-drive working breeds. I understand that every dog is an individual, so their stay is tailored to their temperament, energy level, physical abilities, and needs. Dogs are safely kenneled when they cannot be directly supervised and receive individual attention, play, exercise, and structured time throughout their stay. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can actually see how your dog is doing while you’re away. Whether you have an easygoing family dog, a young energetic puppy, a senior who needs a little extra consideration, or a dog that isn’t appropriate for a traditional daycare or boarding facility, my goal is to provide a safe, structured, enjoyable environment where you can feel confident leaving your dog.

Our family will be forever grateful to Evan. From training our 2 male GSD, to boarding them when we travel. Because of his expert training, we are able to take our dogs with us wherever we go. But, when an occasion comes where boarding is needed we go straight to Evan. We love the peace of mind that we get knowing that they are in his responsible care. Why drop our boys off at a kennel where they spend most of their time in a crate when we could take them to Evan’s? With Evan, they get to play outside in the large yard and get the mental stimulation that keeps them happy and calm. We love the daily update videos he sends while the boys are with him. It really puts us at ease to see them while we are apart, and to know they are happy. Evan has been working with all breeds of dogs for years, his expertise with large working dogs is second to none. We rely on him exclusively for our boarding and training needs and recommend him to any family in need of these services.

Evan has been an outstanding caregiver for many years. You can tell right away when meeting with Evan that he truly loves animals and has such respect for all owners and pets. I have had many weeks of interactive dog training with Evan, and have trusted him to board and take care of my dog a few times while out of town. Evan is a awesome friend, focused in his work and has great results to show when it comes to your pet!

We’ve been going to Evan for over 10 years and have trusted him with multiple dogs during that time. I can’t recommend him enough. Every time we go to pick up our dogs, I feel like they don’t want to leave! Even better, when we’re dropping them off, they immediately get excited as soon as we pull into his neighborhood. They know exactly where they’re going, and seeing how excited they are to be there gives us a tremendous amount of confidence and peace of mind. Evan is also great about keeping us updated while we’re away. We regularly receive photos and videos of the dogs playing, relaxing, and clearly enjoying themselves. It’s obvious that they aren’t simply being “watched," they’re being cared for, loved, and given plenty of attention throughout the day and evening. One of the biggest things for us is knowing that we can leave town and genuinely not have to worry about our dogs. After more than a decade of using Evan, we know they’re in a safe, comfortable environment with someone who truly enjoys having them around and treats them like his own. Over the years, we’ve trusted Evan with dogs with different personalities, ages, and needs, and we’ve always had a great experience. The fact that our dogs are so excited to see him and so reluctant to leave probably says more than anything I could put in a review. Even our most stubborn dog (one that we were worried about) had an amazing time, which I attribute to Evan's background as a dog trainer. If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your dog and want them to stay somewhere that feels more like a second home than a boarding facility, I would absolutely recommend Evan. After 10+ years and multiple dogs, he’s the person we continue to trust with ours.

Evan takes the best care of our boy, Rico whenever he's with him. Communication is always easy and fast, and he sends regular updates and even videos, so we always get to see how much fun our boy is having in his care. It gives us complete peace of mind while we're away. Evan is also highly qualified to keep your pet on its training plan, which means Rico comes home just as well behaved as when he left. On top of that, the facility is beautiful and has tons of outdoor space for the pups to run and play. We couldn't recommend Evan more highly, and Rico clearly loves him too!

Schedule

Dogs are already a major part of my daily routine. As a professional dog trainer, my days are built around training, exercising, playing with, and caring for dogs, so boarding isn’t something I have to fit around a traditional 9-to-5 schedule. I work from my home and have the flexibility to provide frequent potty breaks, outdoor time, individual play, exercise, and attention throughout the day. My property sits on 1.2 private acres with a fully fenced 6-foot privacy fence, giving dogs plenty of safe space to get outside and enjoy themselves. I keep a structured routine while also adjusting each dog’s day based on their age, energy level, temperament, physical needs, and what they’re accustomed to at home. Dogs are safely kenneled whenever they cannot be directly supervised and get multiple opportunities throughout the day to be outside, move, play, and engage. Because dogs are part of my everyday life—not something I care for only before or after work—I’m able to be very involved throughout their entire stay.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is my first priority. As a professional dog trainer, I understand canine behavior, body language, stress, arousal, and how quickly interactions between dogs can change. I don’t believe in simply putting unfamiliar dogs together and hoping everyone gets along. Dogs staying with me are supervised and managed based on their individual temperament, behavior, and needs. I have the ability to keep dogs completely separate when necessary, which also allows me to safely accommodate dogs that may not be appropriate for traditional daycare or open-play boarding environments. My home sits on 1.2 private acres with a fully fenced 6-foot privacy fence, providing plenty of secure space for outdoor time, exercise, and play. Dogs are safely kenneled whenever they cannot be directly supervised, and I never rely on a fenced yard as a substitute for supervision. Each dog’s routine is individualized. I follow owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, physical limitations, household routines, and any behavioral concerns. I’m experienced with puppies, senior dogs, high-drive working breeds, reactive dogs, and dogs with aggression or other behavioral challenges. I also have German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois working dogs of my own. Guest dogs are not automatically expected to interact with my personal dogs or other boarding dogs. Any interaction is intentional and based on the individual dogs involved. My goal is to provide owners with something I would want for my own dogs: a clean, secure, structured environment with knowledgeable supervision, plenty of individual attention, play and outdoor time, and regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident about where your dog is staying.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day includes plenty of opportunities to get outside, move, play, and just enjoy being a dog! Depending on your dog’s personality and preferences, activities may include structured tug, fetch, individual playtime in my large fenced yard, walks, and plenty of one-on-one attention. When appropriate, dogs may also participate in pack walks. I only include dogs in group activities when their temperament and behavior make it safe and enjoyable for everyone involved. Dogs are never forced to interact or play with other dogs. I’m a big believer that play and physical activity are important parts of a dog’s overall well-being. Some dogs love an intense game of tug or fetch, while others would rather explore the yard, go for a walk, or simply hang out with me. I adjust the day to the individual dog’s age, energy level, physical abilities, and personality. There’s also plenty of downtime built into the day so dogs can relax and decompress between activities. My goal is for your dog to have a safe, fun, fulfilling stay—and go home happy and appropriately tired!

Before your dog’s stay, I want to know as much about them as possible so I can provide a safe, comfortable experience tailored to their individual needs. Please let me know about any: • History of reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, or biting—even if you consider the incident minor • Issues with other dogs, people, children, handling, food, toys, or being approached while resting • Separation anxiety, escape attempts, destructive behavior, or excessive barking • Medical conditions, allergies, injuries, physical limitations, or medications • Feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, and normal bathroom routine • Crate/kennel experience and how they behave when kenneled • Training equipment you currently use and commands/cues your dog already knows • Fears, sensitivities, triggers, or anything else that could make your dog uncomfortable • Favorite games, toys, activities, and anything else that helps your dog feel at home Reactive or aggressive behavior does not automatically mean I cannot board your dog. As a professional dog trainer, I’m experienced with dogs that may not be appropriate for traditional boarding or daycare environments. I simply need owners to be completely transparent about their dog’s history so I can prepare appropriately and keep everyone safe. There’s no such thing as giving me too much information about your dog. The more I know beforehand, the better I can make their stay.
