We will send you a registration form with all the relevant question we need to know before the dog's arrival. A typical day

Dog dropoff for daycare is between 7:30am-9am so we will be home waiting for the arrivals. After the dogs arrival we will go out on a pack walk or two smaller packwalks to somewhere in the chiltern hills or we may book an enclosed field. After we walk all dogs will be having some down time when they have their own space to rest. In the afternoon dogs can play in the garden with each other and have a natural chew. If we had a small walk in the morning we will take out the dogs again in the afternoon. Pick up for daycare and end of boarding is between 4:30pm-6pm.

Pet care experience

Hello, Graham (my husband) and I own and run Quality Chops Pet Services in Aylesbury, we are fully insured by licensed by Buckinghamshire council and are both DBS checked. We are dog first aid trained and completed dog boy language course, IMDT level 3 dog daycare and boarding course. We own my two Hungarian vizslas and spend most of our day outdoors. We offer a structured and controlled environment for your dog while they staying with us. Walks are built up in a way so the dogs can enjoy off lead freedom if they have a good recall or we can go to an enclosed field if not. We also offer training, enrichment and after walks and supervised chill time. It isn’t a crazy madhouse for 8 hours a day. We train, walk, play and chill. We take our dogs for pack walks with other trained dogs, if your dog is well behaved we can take them with us on these walks. We will only let dogs off the lead once the off lead consent form is signed before the dog's stay. I will update you with pictures and videos throughout the day. Please note prior to boarding we will have a meet and greet (and a trial night for longer stays) to make sure the dog fits in with the pack and feels confident in our home. I only take dogs who can sleep in their bed as we do not allow dogs in our bed. Because we are licensed (as everyone who looks after their dog in their home should be) we have some mandatory paperwork which needs completing before boarding. What to bring with your dog: Their bed, food and any toys you think they will like, comfort them. Dogs who stay with us will normally have either two smaller walks of 30mins plus or one longer walk 1-2 hours, plenty of play, chill time & freedom and enrichment. We often have adventure days when we go to swim or to enclosed dog field/dog soft play/swimming pool. If you have any questions about boarding, walking or day care, don't hesitate to get in touch. Please also give us a follow on our Instagram account qualitychops_petservices where you find more information about how we run out business. We have specific pick up and drop off times for daycare and boarding these are 7:30am-9am or 4:30pm-6pm

The meet and greet didn’t start off too well as I was told I was meeting Eszter in a field in Aylesbury but when I called to say I had arrived I was told that actually it was Graham I was meeting. I couldn’t understand why I hadn’t been told this in the various communications to set up the meeting and suddenly felt very uneasy. Apparently Graham does all the meet and greets so why not say I’m meeting Graham - this raised alarm bells. Graham was fairly critical during the meet of our dog and her ‘lack of training’ and asked if I would like him to do some training with her! She is trained and was clearly very nervous of their huge dog which I had pre-warned Eszter about. I then tried to arrange a home visit to see where my dog would be staying so as to feel a little more reassured and hopefully meet Eszter but this proved extremely difficult to set up and when I finally agreed to a time that worked for them, Eszter was still nowhere to be seen, it was Graham again. I had already paid Rover for the booking but wished I hadn’t as I probably wouldn’t have continued with the booking. Drop off and pick up times are very limited and even though I had given Graham the timings I was still criticised for making them late for their next appointments. Communication throughout was strained and I didn’t feel comfortable with the set up and was pleased to get our dog home. I wouldn’t recommend Quality Chops pet services and would not use them again.

Eszther was able to help us out last minute when another sitter fell through and promptly came to meet us before we left! She took wonderful care of our cat Lily, and uploaded photos each visit which helped us relax so much as we always hate leaving her! Would definitely recommend and have her again!
