I also like to know about their behavior, such as how they do with other dogs, people, or children, whether they have any triggers (like loud noises or leash reactivity), and their comfort level with walks, car rides, or being left alone. Understanding their daily habits—like preferred walking times, favorite toys, and sleeping routines—helps me keep their environment consistent and stress-free. The more information I have, the better I can ensure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for.

A typical day with the pets I care for is structured, active, and fun while still keeping their comfort and routine in mind. I start with feeding and a potty break, followed by a walk tailored to their energy level—whether that’s a relaxed stroll or a more active walk with time to explore and sniff. Throughout the day, I include playtime and mental stimulation such as fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, or basic training exercises to keep them engaged and happy. For high-energy dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise and outdoor time, while also balancing it with calm rest periods so they don’t get overstimulated. I also give lots of attention, affection, and supervision to ensure they feel safe and cared for. Before the day ends, I provide another walk, feeding (if scheduled), and a calm wind-down so they can relax comfortably for the night.
