Pet care experience
Former dog groomers and vet tech!
I am a former dog groomer and vet tech with one dog (Golden Retriever) and 3 cats. Brian is also a former groomer (that's actually how we met over 20 years ago!). We have a large house in Antioch with a medium sized fenced yard and side yards. We believe in outside play and long walks, but we ultimately think dogs belong inside the home with the family. Our former pets include a Doberman Pinscher, a Samoyed (who lived to be 19), a number of Persians, a sassy Siamese, a Labrador/Collie mix, and our current Golden Retriever Rocky and 3 mixed short haired cats - Duchess, Oranges and Më. We both freelance from home, Brian is an artist and writer and I am a translator. We both have very flexible schedules - and between the two of us, someone is always home with the animals. Through Rover, we have found ourselves enjoying once again the strong connections we make with pets and their owners - and we look forward to meeting you!

We cannot say enough good things about Esther and Brian! They take exceptional care of our senior dog, Kona. They treat Kona like part of their own family and it gives us tremendous peace of mind knowing he is cared for while we are away.

A typical day
We have a nearby walking trail and park which we visit each morning and night. Because our dog Rocky never tires of catch, hes' always trying to lure boarders in with one of the many many tennis balls laying around the yard and house. At the end of each day, we often wind down with a show or two on Netflix - humans on the couch, everyone else on one of the many beds or blankets usually piled up around us.
