I love dogs and Cornish wildlife
I have always had dogs in my Mothers home in Hastings. I have looked after family and friends dogs too. I have enjoyed training dogs- its so rewarding. I love walking in forests and on the nearby Par beach (5 Mins.) I keep away from traffic where possible. I miss our pet dog, Daisy of 16 years of age but I have fantastic memories & photos to cherish. Locally I have looked after 4 or 5 dogs over the last 2-3 years. I look forward to providing a home from home for your dog, with plenty of cuddles. FYI- There is a new Vetinary clinic 5 mins walk from my home, incase of emergency.

Esther and her husband did a wonderful job with our French bulldog Lola. She was so well cared for as I have a high energy dog and she took her on a lovely long walk on the beach and shared photos so I knew she was ok. She was very flexible as I was visiting the Eden project as couldn’t really give a definite ‘return’ time. I would highly recommend! Thank you ☺️
Esther and her family were wonderful and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We visited Cornwall for a wedding and needed last minute care for our Cockapoo, Penny. It was our first time using Rover and Esther immediately put our minds at ease, sharing updates and pictures throughout the day. We were able to enjoy our evening knowing how cared for Penny was by such a kind and loving family. We would recommend Esther to everyone!
Absolutely fantastic service from Esther and her family. We booked Rosie in at fairly short notice and could not have been happier with how well she was looked after. Rosie was clearly very happy and comfortable with them. They even took her to the beach, made sure she had plenty of water and took excellent care of her throughout her stay. Esther and her family are genuinely lovely people and clearly enjoy having dogs around. The location is also incredibly convenient if you are visiting the Eden Project, as it is only around 10 minutes away. Dogs are not allowed inside the biomes, so leaving your dog with Esther while you explore is a brilliant solution. It is equally useful for anyone visiting Eden Project parkrun, where dogs are not permitted, and Esther mentioned that people using the nearby zip wire also leave their dogs with her. Apparently dogs are still not considered suitable zip-line passengers. We were extremely happy with the whole experience and would have absolutely no hesitation in leaving Rosie with Esther again. Excellent care, great communication, convenient location and a genuinely wonderful family. Highly recommended.
We cannot recommend Esther and family enough. We adopted our little dog Nelson as my brother was dying. Nelson stayed with Esther for two weeks while we got all of the logistics sorted. Esther was so kind and gentle with Nelson, rehabilitating him and loving him. She provided lots of updates, really good feedback about Nelson’s routine and went above and beyond to support us and Nelson. Esther is amazing and I cannot thank her enough.
Esther and her family were lovely. They accommodated us last minute and our dog Sam was very happy with them for the day. No issues at all, we would 100% use Esther again.
Most lovely family that lovingly looked after our two 2 border terriers with short notice! Couldn’t speak high enough about them both dogs loved them so much I had to let go of their leashes so they could run to the door when dropping them off!

Schedule
I am 5 minutes walk from a dog friendly beach. I love to walk every day. I have several parks and public coastal paths to choose from. It's nice to have some snacks on hand as a reward (by agreement with your dogs requirements.)

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a single storey detached bungalow with a rear garden, which has solid boundary walls - so escape proof. I will ensure that your dog is kept occupied, with toys and we will go on regular walks in the area, keeping away from traffic. I will feed your dog in accordance with your instructions. This will be a home from home, with lots of cuddles. Look forward to meeting you & your dog. I shall keep in regular contact during the stay.
A typical day
After a nice breakfast I will walk through a woodland area, and on most occasions connect to the beach. Your dog can have a paddle or swim, I will keep him/her on a lead, for safety. Once familiar your dog could be off lead, with your permission.
