I’ve always had a love for animals, even though I didn’t grow up in a family that had pets. I would take every opportunity I could to dog-sit for friends and family just so I could spend time with their pets. When I was 16, I found a stray dog wandering the streets. After searching for his owner and not being able to find them, I decided to adopt him and named him Leo. My family wasn’t exactly thrilled about having a dog, and at one point they even wanted me to take him to a shelter. I refused to give up on him. I committed to training Leo, taking care of him, and proving that he deserved a place in our family. It definitely wasn’t always easy—he even destroyed my mom’s laptop and I ended up getting kicked out of the house for a week! 😂 But eventually, my mom grew to love him and agreed to let me keep him. Five years later, Leo is still part of the family, and he even helped turn us into a true dog-loving household. We’ve since welcomed more dogs into our lives, and they’ve all become a huge part of our family. Because of Leo, I learned firsthand how rewarding it is to care for, train, and build a bond with a dog. I’d love the opportunity to give other pets the same love, attention, patience, and care I’ve always given my own. 🐾❤️
