Hi there! My name is Eline and I am a 37-year old animal-loving, active and positive person who would absolutely love to take care of your pets! As an experienced pet- and house sitter, I have received more than 22 five-star reviews from happy pet owners across Rover and other platforms. Over the years I have cared for cats, dogs (from tiny to giant breeds), fish and even baby goats. I am also a respectful caretaker of luxury homes and larger properties and understand how to care for delicate furniture and materials. You can expect me to treat your home with the utmost diligence and care. For pets that need special care and medical attention, I can confidently provide care that includes: - Oral and injected medication - Senior animals - Puppies & kittens - Separation anxiety - High-energy pets - Other special requirements (Please note: I am not formally qualified in dog first aid / CPR) About myself: I work (mostly) from home as an independent business consultant. For ease of communication, I speak fluent English, Dutch, German and French (and understand a tiny bit of Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese). Outside of work, I enjoy being active and adventurous. I have a big love for both animals as well as nature, and I care a lot about taking care of this aspect of our world. My biggest passion is surfing and my biggest dream is to learn to surf big waves. Because of my travels I am not able to have a pet of my own, which is why I signed up for Rover: being allowed the opportunity to take care of those of others' - that would fill me with joy. Esselina was absolutely wonderful with our dog during an almost two week stay. She sent us frequent updates and photos, which made it so easy to relax and enjoy our trip knowing that our dog was in great hands. Izzy clearly had an amazing time. She also kept our dog very active with long walks despite our dog being a little lazy! You can tell Esselina genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive petsitter

Pet-sitter très attentionnée et à l’écoute. Nous avons pris du temps au départ pour discuter des habitudes de notre chienne et de nos codes ce qui est très appréciable. Les nouvelles ont été régulières. On sent qu’Esselina a l’habitude de garder des animaux, est organisée et anticipe ce qui pourrait poser problème. En bref, très satisfaits de cette journée pour notre chienne.

Esselina a été très réactive suite à notre demande de garde pour notre petit Loup (demande de garde 3 jours avant) Elle est très pro, on voit qu’elle aime les animaux, dès le premier contact via l’application elle a tout fait pour que notre Samoyède se sente comme chez lui (questions sur sa santé, sur ses habitudes, sur son confort), ce qui nous as mis en confiance. Promenades, jeux, câlins, friandises, Ucky a été très gâté. Je pense que notre chien serait bien resté plus longtemps avec elle, tellement il semblait heureux. Elle nous a envoyé des photos et des petits messages durant temps de la garde. Très rassurant. Avec ma compagne nous la recommandons à 100% et nous re passerons avec elle si l’occasion se re-présenteras.
Je recommande Esselina à 100%. Très pro, on voit qu’elle aime les animaux et qu’elle fait tout pour qu’ils se sentent à l’aise. Promenades, jeux, câlins, ma petite Lukla a été très gâtée durant sont séjour. Esselina envoie des nouvelles et des photos régulièrement ce qui m’a permis de me sentir rassurée durant toute la garde. Je referai appel à elle sans hésitation!

Schedule
I work (mostly) from home, which provides me with a lot of flexibility in my working hours and my availability to play with and care for your dearly-loved pets. They will mostly have a loving companion around! I do travel a fair bit, so ideally please check my availability with me in advance.

Safety, trust & environment
My home: I live in a spacious apartment in which your beloved pet can roam freely, or I can create a dedicated space depending on your preferences. Before any petsit in my home I will carefully check for and take care of any potential safety hazards. I understand that animals are animals, and that accidents can happen at times - no problem. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know in advance if your cat or dog has issues with scratching, chewing, etc (my sofa is very precious to me). What is important to note is that my apartment is only accessible via stairs. Any animal that can be physically lifted by me, I will carry upstairs in my arms. Larger pets will need to walk the stairs themselves, hence should your pet have any hip and / or physical issues - this is something to be considerate about. Your home: I have quite some experience doing pet- and housesitting in luxury homes, hence I will be able to treat your home with the utmost diligence and care. A typical day
A typical day would include a lot of different walks and breaks so that your pet can take in all the smells of the Pays Basque: I like to go to the park, walk along the river (there are always loads of friendly dog companions to meet there!) or walk along the ocean cliffs. If traffic / time allows, I might take him / her somewhere with the car to go for a more quiet walk. Inside the apartment your pets can expect a lot of cuddles, a lot of play time, a bit of dancing perhaps, and if your breed is typically curious - I like testing them with some games & learning activities. Moreover, I will always do my best to accommodate your pets typical sleep / eat pattern as I understand how important that can be.
