I like to stay within my limit of bookings to ensure optimal performance in my services, but I will consider extra bookings on a case-by-case basis when I’m fully booked (depends on dates, times, extend of care, distance etc..). BACKGROUND: Growing up, my household would raise donations to trap and release animals from the street who needed to be "fixed" and/or receive medical attention. My home was usually full of dogs and cats who needed to recover and rest before being adopted/released. Of course, I naturally became part of tending to these baby's needs! My community knew my family as “the animal people”, so I’ve gained experience caring for pets in other's homes when they needed favors for pet care. EXPERIENCE: Apart from my personal experience mentioned above, I have been professionally pet sitting through Rover since March 2021. I have experience with cats and dogs of all sizes, energy, and possible trauma. I have experience from newborn kittens to adult cats. I can handle the spunk of a puppy and/or kitten, as well as the gentleness needed for a senior pet. My experience also includes providing medication topically, orally, or by injection. I have also had the fun privilege to care for bunnies and a Chameleon through Rover! ABOUT ESMERALDA: I take pride in my care for animals because I believe every animal is as unique, special and multifaceted as humans (except much cuter and innocent)! My business style is organized and flexible. My friends and family might describe me as free flowing, disciplined and compassionate. Fun fact: I once had a Chilean Rose Tarantula as a pet. I also was bitten by a horse when I was three years old and have a scar to remind me every day! MEET AND GREET: A *virtual* Meet and Greet (using Rover's video call option) will be requested to ensure you will be happy with me as your sitter. We will go over the following: your pet's personality, your expectations with their care, parking instructions, instructions to enter/exit your home, etc...
