Safety, trust & environment
Trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision! I follow instructions to the letter, ensuring both your pet’s well-being and your home’s security. I also provide detailed reports of behavior, potty habits, eating, and drinking for all sits. I'm comfortable working with new dogs - I volunteer at Marion County Dog Service as a dog walker, so I'm skilled at safe handling of pups who may or may not have training. I also carry my own pet sitting insurance (in addition to Rover’s Guarantees).

Information Erin W. would like to know about your pet
For all pets, I’ll need to know their daily care routine, schedule, favorite activities and (of course) treats! The more information you can share about your pet's habits, the better - I love detailed instructions. I’m comfortable caring for animals with special medical needs. I’ll need to know any pre-existing health conditions, treatments, special diets, or risk factors. For pets who take medication, I ask that you do a demonstration of the meds at a meet and greet. I’m experienced working with shy and reactive dogs. Please share any known behavioral issues (like reactivity to other dogs), sensitivities (like fear of fireworks), and commands you use. Working with a trainer? I’d love to meet them, too, so we can be consistent about training.
A typical day
I’ll make sure your pet is entertained, no matter what they means for them! For high-energy dogs, I love a long, brisk, walk and games of fetch. For pets who need their brain entertained, we can do food puzzles and playtime. And if you have a couch potato, cuddles are guaranteed.

Loving, expert care for your pets ❤
Pet care experience
I’m a lifelong animal lover, raised on a farm, with experience working at an animal shelter! I’ll treat your pets with love and expert care, and I love building bonds with repeat furry customers. I bring professional animal welfare experience - I worked at Willamette Humane Society in Salem for 5 years, where I picked up dog-training and socialization skills. I'm experienced not just in basic care and feeding, but also in giving medications and injections, managing complex health conditions like diabetes, and caring for pregnant animals. I have also fostered over 20 kittens, caring and socializing them to be ready for adoption. I also carry my own pet care insurance through PCI, in addition to the support given via Rover. Born and raised on a family farm, I've been caring for animals since as early as I can remember. I grew up with cats, dogs, goats, llamas, rabbits, horses, and rodents. My very first job was pet sitting for my neighbors, providing loving care for dogs and cats. When I was 13, I took my love of animals to the Oregon Zoo as a volunteer, where I've cared for all kinds of furry, scaly, and feathered friends - including hippos and rhinos! If you’re looking for care for exotic pets or farm animals, I have the special skills you need. I recently lost my “soul dog,” Napoleon, in March 2026. Napoleon was a friend to many humans and animals alike - he went to work at the office at Willamette Humane Society for 5 years, attended over 10 suicide prevention walks to provide comfort to those grieving, and spread love wherever he went - from Hawaii, to Alaska, to here in Oregon. Napoleon was my family, and I know your pets are your family, too. I’ll take care of them like they are my own.

Reviews

Erin is observant, considerate, and kind. I feel great knowing she’s there for my little friend while I’m away.

Erin is so great!! She takes wonderful care of my cat every time and is very reliable and communicative

Erin helped me out greatly from afar when I needed it. Professional, communicative, and knows what to do. I would recommend Erin to any one, anywhere.

Erin is THE BEST!!! Her love for and connection with animals was clear during the Meet and Greet. She was prompt, conscientious and professional. Her Rover cards were AWESOME--we so loved the detail and superb photos!! She informed us immediately of an issue that arose while we were gone and came up with an ingenious solution. She accommodated our cats differing personalities, giving our shy girl space while entertaining our social boy with playtimes that he clearly adored. We are tempted to try and plan all our trips going forward around her availability to have the peace of mind of knowing our furry family members are in such capable hands!!
