I have had furry family members nearly all of my life. When we lost our longest family member, a 15-year-old black lab mix, we weren’t quite ready to replace her yet. That’s when we found Rover and we have been loving hosting furry house guests for almost 3 years now. My family would love to welcome both dogs and cats. We are definitely a pet-loving home, so any furry guests would be encouraged to snuggle with us on the couch, play with us, etc. Our sweet girl required some medical attention in her last years, so I have some experience with special needs and senior pets and extra patience for this as well.

We have used Erin to watch our dog numerous times. Because she treats him like her own, he is extremely happy to stay with her. Our vacations are less stressful because we know our dog is in caring hands.

Schedule
I work full-time, Monday through Friday, but I work most days from home so am able to provide frequent attention during the day. My Rover availability reflects the days when I will be working from home or home for the weekend.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large, fully fenced-in and grassy backyard to run and play. We love going on walks around the lake or paths in our neighborhood, which is a very pet-friendly area. My neighbors are very responsible with their pets (i.e. keep dogs on leashes) as well. I have doors/gates to keep animals on the main level away from my daughter's small toys if chewing/eating non-food items is a concern. All other harmful chemicals or items are either in a latched outdoor shed or the garage, which will not be accessible to any pets we host. We do accept larger dogs (50+ lbs), but we can’t accept those that jump up on people in order to keep my daughter safe.

A typical day
We love getting outside for walks or playing in the backyard! I have toys to share or you are welcome to bring your fur babies’ favorites. We absolutely love snuggling up on the couch or floor with pets, too! I have a 9-year-old daughter who loves animals and enjoys playing and helping out with our Rover guests.
