Pet care experience

Former Vet Assistant 🐾

Hi! I’m an experienced pet caregiver with years of hands-on animal care experience, including working as a veterinary technician assistant and previous long-term work on Rover. I’ve been caring for pets since I was 12 and understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. My background in veterinary care has helped me become comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, noticing signs that something may be wrong, and providing attentive care for pets of all ages — from playful puppies and kittens to seniors who need a little extra patience. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-ins, daycare, boarding, or house sitting, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where they feel loved while you’re away. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine, provide updates, and make sure you have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I do own a cat as well, but he is very good around other animals and is very sweet. I treat every pet like they’re my own and would love the opportunity to care for your furry family member! 🐶🐱

Echo was great. She came early at 7am just to accommodate my schedule and sat with Percy until I was down at the office. She walked him and tried to feed my picky eater. Responded to all my questions right away.

Drop-In Visits • Mar 14, 2022

Erin made home visits to my cats while I was away for 3 weeks. I had just moved and the cats were stressed. I hated to leave them but had to go be with my daughter after she gave birth. Erin made sure to find the really shy cat each visit and give him his food where he was if he wouldn't come out. (He was more timid than usual due to the move.) She took pics each day. She also took care of my dog in her home. I would use her again!

Erin kept my elder dog Rascal for 3 weeks while I went to help my daughter after she gave birth. Erin sent pics and he was happy and healthy when I picked him up. She and her family clearly love animals and I was thankful that he had someone to take good care of him while I was gone.

So happy she was available last minute for our 3 huskies! They clearly had so much fun, were well taken care of and the house was left just as described! (She was very nice about me being super particular ?.) She was on time and just really friendly as well! Will definitely use her again!

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m able to dedicate my time and attention to providing consistent, reliable care. I enjoy having a flexible schedule that allows me to focus on each pet’s individual needs, whether that means walks, playtime, feeding routines, medication, or simply keeping them company. I’m able to be present, attentive, and make sure every pet feels comfortable and cared for while their family is away.

Safety, trust & environment

I always try to make pet care feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both pets and their owners. When caring for pets in their home, I like to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible — sticking to their usual feeding schedule, walks, playtime, medications, and whatever little habits make them feel safe. For pets staying in my home, I provide a calm, clean environment where they can relax, get plenty of attention, and feel like part of the family. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, whether they’re outgoing and playful or more shy and need extra patience. My experience as a veterinary technician assistant has helped me feel confident caring for pets with different needs and recognizing when something may be off. My goal is always for your pet to feel loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

Pets

A typical day

I love finding activities that match each pet’s personality and energy level, and for dogs, that can include walks, exploring new smells, playing fetch, practicing basic commands, or having some fun enrichment games to keep their minds active. For cats, I enjoy play sessions with toys, interactive games, window watching, gentle attention, and giving them time to explore and feel comfortable at their own pace. I also think the little things matter — extra cuddles (if they’re a cuddly pet), praise, enrichment, and keeping their normal routine can make a big difference. My goal is for every pet to have a fun, safe, and positive experience while they’re in my care.

All I need to know about your pet prior to any boarding/day care is if they like cats since I own a small tabby named Bubby. If they do not, I have no problem staying at their home. I do not have breed preferences.
