We Love Your Pup Like Our Own!
Animals have always been a part of my life since I was a young child, especially dogs. I've cared for many types of animals-birds, fish, a leopard gecko, a bearded dragon, turtles, cats, bunnies, and dogs. Before I had children of my own, I worked as a family dog trainer and at a doggie daycare. As a dog trainer, I used positive reinforcement to train the behaviors, and I still believe this is the best method of training. I've trained 8 week old puppies up to senior adult dogs in basic behavior. I was certified to teach AKC Canine Good Citizen classes, and I taught basic agility classes. With my previous dogs, I attended confirmation classes for showing dogs, and I competed in hunting field trials (no actual hunting). I have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes. I have knowledge to understand dog body language, and what they are trying to tell the other dogs (and people) around them. All of our personal dogs have been high energy dogs, so play and walks are very important to me. I also have taken care of dogs with medical conditions or specials needs. Our senior dog was treated for diabetes for a few years, so I am comfortable administering both oral and injectable medication. From August through May, we work full time and are gone from 7:00am-4:00pm. When we are home, the dogs get our full attention with walks, play, and cuddles. We are home during full time during the weekends to give your dog lots of attention! During June and July, my schedule is much more flexible, with more time at home. I have a large, mostly shaded fenced in backyard with lots of space to run and play. Dogs will always be supervised in the backyard. During the warmer months, we monitor the amount of time dogs spend outside due to the heat. Our home is very dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on the furniture to cuddle and sleep. We have two dogs, a Golden Retriever and Italian Spinone, who love other dogs! Our two children, ages 10 & 14, have grown up with dogs and love to play with them too! It is important that the dogs we have in our home are kid-friendly. All dogs will eat in separate areas to avoid resource guarding. When we leave the house, all dogs will be crated for their safety. We have a couple crates available depending on the size of the dog, or you can bring your own. We would love to watch all the dogs in your family, so we will watch more than one dog. However, we will only board one family at a time in our home to give them the love and attention they need.
Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
This family is truly stellar! They are incredibly flexible, accommodating, and lead with genuine care. My pups are treated so much like their own that they’re actually reluctant to come home after a long stay! If you’re looking for a welcoming environment where your four-legged kiddos will be truly loved, you’ve found the right place. My pups are always excited to jump out of the truck and run inside to find their friends and 'second family.' Highly recommended for anyone who wants total peace of mind!

My two pitties are quite fond of spending time with Erin, Steve, and their children. It is as though they are on vacation when I am away. They are treated with the same care and affection as the family's own dogs. A particularly wonderful aspect of this household is that they only accommodate one family's pets at a time. This is especially significant for dogs with a more relaxed and moderate energy level. This arrangement ensures more individual attention, less commotion, and harmonious interactions for everyone. I am reassured knowing that my dogs receive the utmost care and are treated with the same consideration as their own pets when I am away.

Erin and Steve were wonderful. Tank had so much fun playing with their golden retriever and it was nice to know Tank was well taken care of while on vacation.

Erin and Steve are truly top-notch dog sitters! Their communication is excellent, and getting those regular picture updates of my dogs was such a comfort. Their flexibility and willingness to adapt when my schedule changed unexpectedly was an added bonus. I especially valued their process to only take one family at a time and the option to give a bath before pick up. Beyond their professionalism with meeting you at the curb ready to help with beds, crates, etc., they're just a really friendly and caring family. Highly recommend them for peace of mind and happy pets!

Erin and Steve treated both of our dogs great. You could tell the dogs were happy and relaxed in all the photos each day. They go to go out plenty and received lots of attention. Everything went nice and smooth. Definitely recommends and will use their stuffs in the future
Our pitbull, Bruno, loved staying with Erin & Steve! They sent us a bunch of pictures of Bruno playing with their dogs and cuddling with his blankets, and he looked happy and comfortable the whole time. We also had a special request regarding our drop-off and pick-up situation, and they were super flexible and accommodating. We'll definitely look to them if we need to board Bruno in the area in the future!

Calendar and availability
Schedule
We currently work full time, but we are home most of the day on the weekends. Since we have 2 dogs of our own, we are home in the evenings to spend time with them.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We have a large fenced in yard for dogs to run around and play. Someone is outside with the dogs at all times. In the home, dogs are allowed on the couch to sleep and cuddle. We have a large crate available for dogs that are crate trained. When we leave for work, dogs that are crate trained will go in the crate. However, if your dog is not crate trained, we make the determination to keep your dog out with our dogs, or we crate our dogs. Our first priority is the safety of all dogs in the home.
Pets
A typical day
In the mornings, we will spend some time in the backyard sniffing and playing. Then, we will have breakfast and potty time. If boarding takes place during our work week, we will crate visiting dogs that are crate trained, with fresh water and any toys you are comfortable with giving them. Dogs that are not crate trained can stay out in the house, and we may crate our own dogs instead. Someone will be home around 4:00pm to let the dogs out in the backyard to potty and run around. After dinner, we spend time both indoors and outside, depending on the weather. There are LOTS of toys available to play with in our home, and we love to play tug of war! Our nights wind down around 11:00pm, when all dogs are put in the crate (if crate trained) or sleep in the living room or bedroom. On the weekend and during the summer months, we are home most of the day to shower your dog with playtime and cuddles!
