Safety, trust & environment

I'm quite intuitive when it comes to pet care. If I take your dog to the park, I would likely make sure they have their collar and leash secure, and that they remain on leash for all activities unless requested otherwise. I will always keep a lookout for approaching dogs and gauge how that interaction might go. I would certainly move away from any dogs that may pose a perceived problem. I would make sure that your pet is kept in eye view at all times when at the park/beach and maintain steady engagement with play. If we are simply going on a walk, I will make sure to keep watch on their energy level and whether they need rest or not. If it's a rainy day, I can towel them off before letting them back in the house. As for pet visits, I would be happy to engage your pet with their favorite toy or simply snuggle with them on the sofa. I can make sure they have water and give them food if directed to do so. If it's a hotter day out, I would recommend adjusting the walk time to earlier or later in the day and be happy to adjust my schedule to accommodate this. I am hyper-aware and vigilant when caring for other people's pets, as well as my own when I was growing up. I can follow your directions for administering medication or any specific play needed for special needs pets.

Information Erin S. would like to know about your pet

If you let me know in advance of any behaviors that I should look out for, I can be vigilant in the activities we do during the visit or the walk. Any injuries would be good to know about as well so that I can keep a look out for any strange movements and avoid going into certain areas (terrain) that could cause re-injury.

A typical day

A typical day would be putting the leash on and walking out the door, hitting some pathways for smells and friendly social encounters (unless your dog is not up to visiting with other dogs). We could walk up to a park or hike some trails. Happy to throw a ball or play a little chase game. We could even chill in the grass somewhere - I know dogs often like to cool themselves down by sitting in chilled grass in the shade for a bit. I'm also a runner and professional roller skater - if your pet is high-energy, I would be happy to give them a good run to burn that energy! Whatever your pet's speed is, I can keep up!

Fun and Caring Gal at Your Service!

Pet care experience

My home growing up was alive with animals - a Black Lab named Jake, three quirky parrots and a tank full of vibrant fish. Although we did not own a cat, the neighborhood cats would certainly find their way into our yard and visit. I have always experienced a deep connection with animals and nature, love spending time with animals, and am quite adept at intuiting their needs. I have not personally owned a pet in some time and decided to join Rover as a way to spend time with other people's pets and have a blast doing so!

Erin stayed at my house with my dog and two cats. I came home to a very clean house and happy animals. Erin sends lots of pictures every day. I could tell that she really loves the animals and they love her. This is the second time Erin has stayed with my pets and I would not hesitate to have her stay here with them again.

Erin stayed at my house and took care of my dog and two cats for 5 or 6 days. All the animals seemed to like her immediately. She played with them and sent pictures regularly and always responded quickly to messages. The house was spic and span when we got home. The animals were happy. My dog got lots of hikes and swims. I have no complaints and happily recommend Erin. Thank you Erin!
