Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's comfort, safety, and security are deeply important to me. I take extra steps to provide a pleasant and protected environment for your pet: •I provide a complimentary Meet & Greet for all new clients and guests. •All clients must provide proof of their dog's current vaccines prior to our Meet & Greet (rabies for dogs 4 months or older, Bordetella, and distemper). Guests must also be up-to-date on a flea/tick preventative. •I accept 1 guest at a time for boarding, or up to 2 guests at a time for daycare. Keeping my pack small helps to ensure that each dog feels comfortable, positive, and stress-free each visit. •My daycare guests are never introduced to one another without pre-screening and approval from each client. I have 12 years of experience evaluating dogs for group play. All introductions are done slowly, and under my supervision. Any guests that show signs of incompatibility prior to meeting will not be introduced or scheduled together. •All play between guests is closely monitored to ensure it's always appropriate and fun for each dog. I provide dogs with positive reinforcement and feedback to encourage their confidence and maintain healthy boundaries amongst the pack. •My backyard is fully fenced, and guests are never unattended while outdoors. I accompany them outside to play with them or let them sunbathe, and all potty breaks are done on-leash. •My neighborhood is quiet, enjoyable, and safe, with open grassy areas and sidewalks. If your dog is reactive, I know the best routes and times of day to avoid other dogs or people. •Guests have access to 2 floors of my home, and for close supervision, they stay on the same level as me. To maintain safety, guests are restricted from the kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms. •Guests are always fed separately from each other. Guests that eat too quickly or that may be prone to bloat will be fed using a slow-feeder bowl and given a break after meals. •I am home at all times during daycare visits, and errands are kept to a minimum during boarding stays. Crate-trained guests will be secured overnight or if I must step out, but alternative options are available for dogs that are not accustomed to a crate. •I have professional training and experience in recognizing signs of a canine medical concern or emergency. •I send a minimum of 3 text updates per day for boarding clients, including multiple photos, videos, and details about your dog's day. Daycare clients receive a Rover card each visit that includes details and numerous photos. I am always available for questions, check-ins or requests. It's my intent to give each client lasting peace of mind anytime their pet is in my care. •Depending on availability, I can accept intact males under 1 year old and non-spayed females under 6 months old (if she has not had a first heat).

Information Erin S. would like to know about your pet

I want to ensure I'm doing everything possible to make your pet's stay with me feel as relaxing and safe as being at home. It's important that I am informed in advance of any behavioral challenges, medical concerns, destructive tendencies, or other special needs your dog has. With a dog of my own in the home, it's crucial for you to inform me in advance if your pet has any issues with other dogs. This could include reactivity, resource guarding, leash aggression, rough play, etc. I have extensive experience caring for dogs with various quirks and characteristics. Informing me of your dog's challenges helps me set them up for success. *Behavioral challenges I need to be aware of may include: any type of aggression or reactivity, issues while on leash or walking with other dogs, anxiety, escapism, destructiveness, potty accidents, resource guarding, or high prey drive. *Medical concerns I need to be aware of may include: physical restrictions, medications, allergies, seizures, heart issues, history of bloat, skin issues, fleas, digestive concerns, arthritis, recent injuries or medical episodes, or surgeries. *I am unable to permit a dog with fleas or recent signs of any contagious condition.

A typical day

My goal as your dog's caregiver is to send them home happy, healthy, and ready to rest at the end of each day. I can provide your dog with mental and physical stimulation, clear communication, consistent routines, and lots of love. A typical visit to my home includes unlimited potty breaks, 1-3 walks with unlimited sniff time, playing fetch or tug-of-war, enrichment games and interactive toys, wrestling or snuggling with Harrow, napping on the couch, ear scratches and back rubs, and playing in the yard.

Erin took amazing care of our pup, Ghost, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Ghost can be very reactive in new situations and around new people, so she requires extra patience, understanding, and a thoughtful approach to help her feel comfortable. It’s not easy to find someone who can handle her behavior, but Erin did so with incredible care and confidence. She created a warm, comfortable environment where Ghost could relax and play—- like a home away from home. Erin was also extremely communicative, always checking in to make sure she was aligned with what I’m comfortable with as a pet parent. She sent updates and pictures 2–3 times a day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I’m beyond grateful for the level of care she provided. I trust Erin completely and would highly recommend her to anyone, especially those with pets who need a little extra attention and understanding.

Erin is the best sitter for my Obi for daycare, overnight and long stays. He loves Erin and his bestie, Harrow, and enjoys when his other friend Chopper is there for daycare. We moved 45 minutes away, but when your fur baby is happy and safe, you can focus on other things. Anyone who has felt anxious about leaving there fur baby can understand. It’s a diamond in the rough when you do find it.
