Pet care experience
ABOUT ME: I am privately insured and pet first aid/CPR trained. I love animals of all kinds. I have had dogs and cats for most of my life, and have been caring for others' pets since 2009. I have also owned birds, fish, tortoises, and turtles, and am experienced administering medication (including injections) to many types of animals. We are a family of animal lovers. Our GSD/Siberian Husky, Quill, loves other dogs (and cats), and has earned the Canine Good Citizen title. We continue to attend training classes so we can learn new skills and stay sharp on the old ones. We also have four cats, all of whom get along with dogs. I would love to care for your pet like it was another member of my family! Please check out and like my Facebook page, Emo's Pet Sitting, for more day-to-day pictures and general information about my pet sitting. ABOUT MY HOME: In addition to giving your dog(s) lots of play time and affection, I use security cameras to keep an eye on them when I am out of the house. Because our dog used to be an avid chewer, our house is also thoroughly dog proof. We keep our toy supply stocked with durable indoor and outdoor toys including balls, Frisbees, Kongs, and Nylabones. All food, medication, cleaners, and trash stays out of reach, and we work hard to keep only dog-appropriate things on the floor. We use gates to separate dogs when needed, and all dogs are fed in separate areas to prevent resource guarding and stomach upset from getting into someoneelse's food. We have a spacious, shady back yard with a patio, umbrella, and kiddie (doggie) pool. The dogs have lots of room to run and play, and are never left outside unattended. Our first priority is the well-being and safety of all animals in our home.
Reviews
We use Erin every time we can. She’s the best and our dog absolutely loves his stay each time! She sends us pics throughout his stay and is always friendly. If I could give her more stars I would!
We love having Erin look after our Archer pup! He adores her and I can tell by his excitement that she treats him as sweetly as she treats us. She always sends update pics throughout his stay and is super fast at responding to messages. She is my first choice for a Rover sitter and we’re so happy we found her years ago! 😊
Erin is so great with all types of dogs. She treats our dogs like her own. She is loving and kind. Our dogs love her and her large backyard. Quill, her dog is sweet and great with our dogs.
Erin has watched our dog Freya several times now, and it has always been a great experience! Freya loves visiting her house, and it is clear she gets lots of love while she is there. Erin is extremely responsive and professional, and was very accommodating when we had to make a last-minute request due to a family emergency.

Information Erin M. would like to know about your pet
Is your pet comfortable with older children and other dogs? Do they have any anxieties or special needs? Please let me know about things like separation anxiety or resource guarding so I can help your pet settle in. What are their favorite toys and activities? Do they like to play in water? We love to get out the kiddie pool when it's warm! Is your dog a lap dog, or one that needs a lot of exercise and loves to be outdoors? When your pet stays with us, I encourage you to bring any items that will help them feel comfortable and remind them of home. Their usual toys, beds, crates, or blankets can ease anxieties and help to ensure the best stay possible! I provide food bowls, but please bring your pet's regular food to prevent any digestive upset. I will provide you with an online questionnaire that helps me get to know your furry friend and their preferences. I welcome hearing additional tips from you that will help me care for your dog. Please ensure that your pets are up to date on vaccinations and flea treatment. RESTRICTIONS: Size: I do not have size restrictions, so please don't hesitate to contact me about caring for your large dogs. I have a 75-lb dog myself, but I also have experience with even larger dogs like Great Danes. Aggression: I do not accept dogs that demonstrate aggressive tendencies towards humans or other dogs (I don't mean rough play/wrestling, but true aggression). Puppies: Due to the high number of senior dogs that stay with me, I generally do not board puppies younger than 1 year old unless they are somewhat calm. They should either be housebroken or crate trained.
A typical day
Your dog will enjoy playtime in the back yard including fetch, frisbee, agility games, and a kiddie pool, a variety of indoor toys, and, of course, endless petting and affection! I make my own natural dog treats, which your dog will enjoy on their stay with me (if allowed). Of course, feel free to bring your dog's own favorites!
